Hello long haired men...
Some of you may remember me. I achieved a personal high a few years ago when my hair was long enough to tie back without any stragglers. Life was good for a while, then I met a woman and I cut my hair for her and regretted it shortly after. Attempted a couple times since then without luck. Now I am back again. Last cut was July 1st (pathetic, I know, but you have to start somewhere).
So here I am! I am also in my last year (and clinical year) of veterinary medical school. So I have to look my best, which we all know can be a little difficult during those awkward phases. So I am taking the "**** it" approach and in the words of Ziggy Marley, "got to be true to myself." This is who I am, along with other things I hold dearly, wearing my hair long is part of me. I had a fro in high school, dread locks the first part of college, the pony tail the first part of vet school. I feel complete with my hair long. I've learned to play Crosby's "Almost cut my hair" on the guitar to keep me going, as well. Wish my luck all you long haired men, may I join your ranks in May, or so...
Go for it, good luck
Good luck dude!!! Always remember stay true to yourself, don't change yourself and who you are for anybody, and if they want you to then f them... your better off without having that influence in your life!
Keep er growing!
Hi Phunkeyphish,
This is a great story. I remember your last photo posted here. I am glad you are almost done with your vet school. Please don't cut your hair again for anyone. People need to learn to accept you for who you are. I wish you much success in your school and future endeavors including your hair growth. You're going to be one cool vet.
Take care, Ted
Hi Ted,
I would think that vet's could have long hair. There is a famous doctor in Arizona who specializes in snake bite treatment. This guy has long hair.
Good Luck!
