Yesterday was my 27th birthday :)
My last year was a great one, I've been shorthaired for a while because I was traveling and after I came back I found a job I really like. This year I will be traveling again, now on my bicycle through Europe. I'm not sure where I will be going yet, but will start in Holland and go to Germany (Berlin). If people are interested in meeting up, let me know.
I've been growing my hair for 8,5 months now and I love it. It's easy to take care of but still longish. I've been using an elastic band to keep my hair out of my eyes.
Hi Vincent,
Good to hear news. Have a good ride ! (I do myself this kind of things...) If you're motivated to reach France, tell me... ;)
Vivien.
Thanks Vivien,
If I will be going to France I will let you know!
Vincent
Hi Vincent,
Nice pic, and I'm curious about the elastic band -- is it similar to what they call, "Alice band?"
I'm one of those weird guys that actually didn't mind the so-called, "Awkward stage"... to me, medium-lengths have an enjoyment all their own: not too long to be all that much trouble; but thank goodness not short, either, so could enjoy it blowing in the breeze, etc.... "The best of both worlds", I guess! (LOL)
In any case: lookin' good there, Vincent -- and happy b-day!

It's sort of similar to what David Beckham is wearing in this picture:

It keeps the hair out of your eyes, which is the only thing I don't like about the awkward stage. I don't care about messy hair, I like it.
I second you, I do enjoy my hair blowing in the wind and not to much haircare. I'm trying to find the perfect hairstyle for me, it will probably be a lot shorter then it was before. Maybe even an awkward stage length.
Thanks for the birthday wishes :)
Happy birthday for yesterday Vincent and have a great time on your cycling trip.
Cheers,
John.B
Thanks John, I will!
Try an Alice band to hold your hair back. Looks better than an elastic band.
I don't know the english word for it, but I think I've got an alice band. It's the same fabric that hairties are made of. I Would never put an elastic band in my hair without fabric to protect it, otherwise my hair get's damaged.
Happy Birthday Vincent a day late!LOL.Seriously I hope you had a great day and did something fun:)The biking trip sounds like a great adventure that even I'd love to do if I had the time and a companion to do it with.As for the update your hair is getting longer but the curling of it makes it appear much shorter than it actually is if pulled straight.I always felt your longest hair was stellar but in the end you do what makes you happiest my friend so enjoy the journey to wherever it takes you:)Cheers

Thanks Mark,
You should definitely do this if you want it. Hope someone can join you!
Yup, it's a little bit longer but the curls give your hair more volume which I like.

You are looking good, Vincent. Happy Birthday. Maybe minimum ponytail length is the best length for you. It is much easier to care for.
Scott
Thanks Scott, we'll see what length I end up with could be ponytail length.
Hi Vincent,
Happy (belated) birthday, glad things are going well in your part of the world, and your hair is growing very well indeed. Keep up the good work!
Take care,
David
Thanks David,
Yup the hair is coming along nicely and I'm very happy with it :)
Looking great Vincent! Happy birthday to you, and re-birthday to your hair.
- Oren
Thanks Oren,
That's a nice way to say it!
Hi Vincent,
Happy belated birthday to you Vincent. Your hair is coming along very nicely. I really liked your hair when it was long and hope you grow it long again.
I wish I lived where you are because your cycling trip sounds fun. I hope you enjoy your trip and be safe. Maybe one of these days I can visit your part of the world. It is truly beautiful over there.
Take care, Ted
Hi Ted,
We'll see what happens, I honesty don't know how long I will grow my hair so maybe your hopes come true.
Yup, europe is very nice hope you've got the chance to visit it one day!
