  I keep hearing people grumbling about the awkward stage.

  IMHO there something worse than the awkward stage......the Buzz cut or any short hair style.

    While they both are, the awkward stage is the time when others complain about one's appearance and indeed one can be most self conscious because of the unkempt appearance which can cause other problems so some grumbling is both to be expected and reasonable.

    Frankly I wouldn't be shocked to learn that there are guys who actually like living in a perpetual awkward stage when it comes to their hair.To each their own:)Cheers

      I've noticed a lot of women with short-ish hair that seem to be in a "perpetual awkward stage." Rather dreadful. :p

      Frankly I wouldn't be shocked to learn that there are guys who actually like living in a perpetual awkward stage when it comes to their hair.To each their own:)Cheers
