Hi Hairy People,
Just when you thought it was safe to enter a reputable place like San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, beware the monstrous longhair-eating Agave that lurks there...
Many thanks to Trolleypup for suggesting GG Park's Dahlia garden and surrounding succulent and cacti area for a fun longhaired photo shoot -- and of course also for taking this wacky pic of me (at least I think it was you, Robert -- my apologies to Mark if it was you who was the photographer instead)!

PS - more pics to follow...
Hi Ken. I know you are trying to be a bit wacky, but to me, it is nothing out of the ordinary. It's just a blade of a plant. Anyone with long hair can put some of their hair around a plant.
Matthew
Well Matthew, guys who have short hair definitely cannot toss their hair around a large plant like that -- hence the reason for me posing for that photo.

Meeting up with Bill & Larry on the cold, windy, fog-enshrouded shores of San Francisco's Baker Beach, Mark and I were introduced to this "interesting" beach sculpture: it was created out of a combination of driftwood, seaweed, Spanish moss, and various pieces of beach trash (beer bottles, orange peels, paper shreds, old clothes, you name it...)
Of course, quite possibly the scariest part of this pic might be the old geezer longhair on the right!
Not at all scary, but definitely impressive, were some of the HUGE Dahlia blooms in GG Park's Dahlia garden -- this photo actually doesn't do it justice (even though my hand in this pic helps to give perspective)...

Beautiful Dahlia Dahlin"
That's a great photo. I love how Mark's hennaed red complements the background and your hair, Ken, is positively lustrous in that lighting!
Thanks, Jason!
Interesting how you mention the lighting -- it was positively like "pea soup", the fog being extremely thick, cold, and windy at that location... further inland it was still sunny & warmer (even within the same city limits); but Baker Beach was absolutely a miserable longhair meet-up location, even though last year at this same time it was sunny & nice there.
You can never trust when our famous fog might roll in from the Pacific, so if you ever make it out West here, be sure to bring a warm jacket -- even in summer!
Thanks again, Jason -- gotta go to work now!!

The picture says it all....
Hi Ken,
I always look forward to your updates. I really enjoy the pics you post. That is a nice looking Agave there. And your hair is as always, superb. Hope you didn't damage any of your hair! Please take care of yourself and your hair.
Sincerely, Ted
Always good to get your updates, Ken.
You have a drole sense of humour and take great pictures.
Alun
(I thought for a minute I had erred by using the French spelling instead of the English, but apparently either drole or droll is OK in English. Don't think the latter is viewed as correct when writing in French, though. Of course, drole should have a circumflex accent, but I don't know how to type that!)
Love it Ken!

...obviously you are all having just too much fun.....I am jealous !
Thanks for sharing all the wonderful photos. It is always fun to see our members "in action".
Walter
I'm on the computer at work right now, so will keep it brief:
Thanks!
(LOL -- OK, I have a little more time to say a few more words than that!)
Alun, however you spell it, I'm glad to know my humor is drole -- the only problem is that I need to find myself a dictionary now to learn the meaning of the word (LOL)!!
To everyone else...
Thank you one and all for your kind comments!
(and now to go back and refresh my memory on what exactly those comments were...)
OMG, what am I doing up at this weird hour of the morning? It's around 4:30AM!!!!!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
