I made the decision to let my hair grow a month or so after the last haircut. At 60 I wasn't sure I'd let it grow again -- the last time was 10 years ago. In my 20s and 30s it was frequently long.
So it's in the awkward stage, which there is no getting around. I'm reading all I can on how to take care of it properly, which I didn't really do in the past.
Great to find that there is a community here. My partner is supportive and most people don't say anything, and several say they think it's great. But I'm doing it cause I want to. I've always liked it long. Yes, I was one of those whose parents were very anti-long hair and resulted in endless fights in my teens.
Does anyone put any product on their hair to keep it more in place while in the awkward phase?
Thanks, Damon
