... this is my fav. 'quick' style = a half bun - its 'up' in seconds & off I go ...
That does look like a quick and efficient way to tie your hair while on the run:)Not a bad style either so you could go all day like that.Cheers

Quick and easy and safe...so mine is up mostly, but I love when I am on MY time (or the parts of my time when appropriate) and I can let it down!
Hi Trolleypup - yes my sentiments exactly / agreed in full ! ... cheers CEM.
Yep, I do that one a lot myself, although I usually bun it for work. "Pull-tab ponytail" or "loop-through" -- they're all names for essentially the same kind of thing, all of which are practical ways to protect long hair from getting damaged.
I agree with you100% on your previous comments as well: the longer one's hair gets, the more it feels like simple practical common sense to restrain it. At times it can even be a safety issue...
A brief example: I attended a private graduation party at a guy's condo here in San Francisco a few years ago, deciding to wear my hair down; but when I arrived, I saw tons of lit candles all over his house -- so I instantly tied my hair up so I wouldn't worry about my mane catching on fire (I was the only longhair at the party, so probably nobody else even thought about it as a concern).
If you want to keep your hair long and grow it to its maximum length, then staying aware of its safety and minimizing damage or danger to it is simply being wise about it, protecting it whenever necessary.
Your hair is looking AWESOME, by the way -- hope you keep it growing!!

thank you Ken for your wisdom & positive support for ALL here on the board ... yes, the beauty of long hair is its versatility & its ever-changing moods & tantrums, depending on the season, time of day, weather ... I use my gut: ( as to its style ) @ any given time ... down 'n dancin' when able ... up 'n 'caged' when needed ... cheers 2 ewe CEM. :))
I often refer to it as a "ponybun" (ponytail + bun) which is rather whimsical but it works. The "tail" of mine has never been that long though, that's quite impressive!
Restraint is a small sacrifice for having such beautiful hair!
Hi Caladhiel ... yes, a very apt name for that style & thank you very much !!! cheers CEM. :))
