Hi everyone,
Just to let you know I'm still lurking and admiring all that long hair! I've just had my 5th cycle of chemotherapy with one more to go, and have been bald for the past four months. I must say, I'm getting a bit used to it. In and out of the shower in no time and saving a fortune on shampoo and conditioner! My hair will grow again next year, but at the moment, I'm thinking of keeping it fairly short. I'm amazed at the number of people who have commented on how much younger I look without my long hair - not a bad booster for an old geezer on chemo! I still love the look of long hair - but much better on you younger guys! but we'll see. My best regards to you all.
Ian
Hi Ian,
It's great to hear from you and am glad to learn you are almost done with your treatments.I guess after loosing your hair for some time you do get accustomed to the feeling of not having it.Still I always prefer longhair and felt anyone who said someone looked better without it was anti longhair on guys anyway.True some guys do look good in shorter hair so it just depends on many factors.I always felt your hair was amazing for a guy your age Ian.It was amazingly thick and the color looked awesome.Hopefully, when the opportunity arises, you go back to your glory days as a longhair my friend.Cheers

And best luck to you ^^
Hello Ian,
I was so happy to read your update this morning. I have been wondering how you were doing. Sorry to hear about your beautiful hair. I always liked to see the photos of your hair. I belive your hair would look just as awesome short. And I am sure you look just great without any hair. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for continued good health. As a dialysis patient I might be able to understand what you are going through. We have to keep our faith and good attitude. I wish you continued strength to get well my friend! Take care of yourself and keep us updated please!
Sincerely, Ted
Hi Ian,
I too was wondering about your well being. Keep fighting this and be strong! One of my high school friends just beat his cancer for the 2nd time! I wish you all the best and your hair will grow back after this is ordeal.
Sincerely,
Darrin
Hey, Ian. Great to get the update and to hear that you're doing well. Have been praying for you and am encouraged to hear your report. As for the hair--hey, it's just hair. To know you're on the mend is the main thing. Like a lot of the others, I hope you grow it back. But, that is up to you alone. Best of wishes to you, my friend. Keep us posted.
Steve
chemo lets you have amazing hair grow back, You will be impressed.
keep getting healthy and smiling.
My mum's grey hair grew back black, but then it went grey all over again!
Wonderful hearing from you, Ian, I'm so grateful it sounds like your treatments are going well, regardless of whatever you decide about growing your hair back after completion. Please stay in touch, it's always a joy hearing from you!!

When I had chemo back in 2008, the same thing happened to me. Went pretty well bald. It just started to return when I had to have 49 radiation treatments. I had been a long hair since about 1969 so it amazed me how I looked without it. I even bought a long hair wig because I felt so naked without my hair. When I tried to wear the wig I found I looked like this guy I could not bear. I tossed the wig and wore caps and hats. My hair has since returned and is almost as thick as before. Of course now I am getting silvery streaks in it.
I hope you have many years ahead and are at least as lucky as I have been since my diagnosis. My very best wishes Ian.
Rob

Great to hear from you Ian and I'm happy that it sounds like your treatment is progressing well.
I won't lie. I hope in the end that you come to a different conclusion about your hair but in the grand scheme of things, that matters very little!
Best wishes.
Hi Ian
Thanks so much for keeping in touch. All my best that you keep the disease in check. The beauty of long hair keeps the inspiration for life and living with us.

Ian, I'm so glad to hear from you but so sad to think of the stress you must be going through. It makes my worries about my own hair mishap look very minor and puts things into perspective.
I personally very much hope you do consider growing your hair long again. You have such awesome hair waiting to rise again, it would be criminal to restrain it! ;)
