I am a woman who has always preferred long hair on a man, which I have come to find is not typical of most women. However I was wondering do you guys prefer long or short hair on a woman or do you have no preference either way?
Personally I don't have a preference either way. However the woman
wants to wear her hair is fine with me. After it's her hair.
I prefer long, but have dated women with short hair. I am married to a long haired woman, though.
I always treasure a lady's personality and other charms first, and can take both short or long hair either way on a member of the opposite sex.

Although I happen to be a gay guy, I have occasionally gone out of my way to compliment a woman if her hair was outstandingly beautiful -- especially when longer than the average "norm"...
Attractive-looking hair deserves compliments, regardless of someone's sexual orientation or personal dating motives. Sometimes just saying something nice, even to a total stranger who you have no interest in dating, can make someone's day -- as long as the comment is sincerely heart-felt, I believe in not holding back.
Whether male or female, though, I always tend to admire longer hair over shorter styles -- although in some unusual circumstances, a clever short style might sometimes merit a compliment out of my lips (LOL). Maybe this is because I know from my own long hair experience how much extra work it takes to keep longer hair in good condition; so am naturally more interested in paying a compliment to another longer-haired person.
In any case...
Re. attracting a partner in life, I'm all in favor of people -- regardless of whether male or female, gay or strait -- to grow their hair to whatever degree pleases one's self, first. Then when the right person comes along and falls in love with you, that way you'll know they love the REAL you!!

Where men are free to grow (or not grow) their hair to a desired
length I also believe that women have the same right.
I know some women who have great looking long hair (butt length)
and I also know some women who have hair that is close to a buzx
cut. It's their hair, and their choice. I have no preference
either way.
So for women it's whatever floats their boat.
Individual choice
My g/friend has short hair. It used to be a LOT shorter than mine before my trim on Saturday but even now it's still shorter.
I tend to like short hair on girls but it depends on whether it suits her or not. On some girls short hair looks amazing, on others not so much. ;)

With the right cut, women can look stunning with short hair. It does all depend, it's not for everyone-head shape, hair type etc. If the hair looks healthy though, any length is fine-except buzzed all over which is repulsive on either gender.I do feel strongly that short hair for women should be as free a choice as longer hair for men.

I lean towards long hair, but at the same time, I have a friend who buzzes her hair from time to time, and I can't keep my hands off her head when it is really short. YMMV!
But hair is just one thing on the outside. And it has nothing to do with the inside!
At this point I have no such preference, but this reminds me of something many years ago when I first grew my own hair very long (almost waist length). Before that I had always been very attracted to longer haired women, but suddenly short haired women started seeming very sexy to me.
For me it really depends on what the relationship status is with the said woman. Generally I don't care one way or the other, however, I do get alot of pleasure out of braiding or otherwise messing with a womans hair as well as her messing with mine.
I definitely prefer long hair on both women and men.
I am a straight man with a little longer than shoulder length hair and planning on letting it get longer. Personally, I love it when a woman has hair longer than me.
