Thank you for the responses. I recently had a bad experience with a hair coloring that I have used for years and a lot of my hair broke off/fell out, which horrified me. My hair was very healthy despite years of coloring it. This experience forced me into a very short cut which I have not had in years and I have been reluctant to leave the house. I appreciate all the answers you have given.

Your hair will grow back and I am sure you look fine with shorter hair. Don't let it stop you from living your life. Life is way to short to have regrets.
