Hello everyone =)
Some might still remember me I supose, at least the oldest members =)
I have been pretty absent from the forums but I still do check every day to see how everyone's doing and who's new ^^
I just posted a new video on youtube updating on my hair's lenght and condition. I thought I would share it here since this is the place where I started learning abou hair care and getting suport, so I owe a lot to you guys.
Thank you so much, I don't think I would have been so successfull with growing my hair if it wasn't for this place.
Much respect ^^
João David
Hi João,
Wow, that's a fantastic, and very inspiring, video that any admirer of longhair would absolutely love:)And of course I do remember you.....how could anyone here forget. The presentation was quite nice as was your choice of music. What exactly was that you had playing in the background?I'm glad you still check the board and post on occasion. It's kind of sad when guys leave, especially ones who've participated a lot here.Your hair is epic and something you have to be very proud of my friend. Now you have to be like me and keep it for life;)Thanks a bunch for your post.Cheers
Mârk
Hello Mark =)
The music in the background is by Wim Mertens. I love this composer ^^
Thank you for your comments. I understand it's sad to see people be more absent, I felt it too when I was a regular here. It doesn't mean I don't apreciate this place or even you guys and actually proof of it is that I do check regularly =) I really like this place and love that it is such a suport group for long hair people.
We'll be seeing each other around for sure ^^ I'm keeping my hair =) Even if a little shorter, it will stay long for a long, long time, if it depends on me =)
Cheers back at ya! =D
It looks great! I think trimming it makes a statement that you did not just forget to get a haircut for several years but you like it that long, that look, and not a bit shorter. It adds some class!
That is such a cool way of seeing trims! I fully agree! =D I love it that you said it adds class too! ^^ Thank you =)
You're welcome! I think one mistake we guys have made with long hair is just growing it out to terminal length, which for most of us results in eventually having a thin, ratty looking set of ends. Girls generally do not do that and they are the masters of long hair standards. We need to emulate them and have some class.
As always your hair is otherworldly incredible. The ends are looking good. I too have decided to sacrifice some length for better ends. I'm thinking with regular trimming you might be able to reach classic again and still be happy with your ends.
Your chiseled physique complements your look!
Sacrificing lenght for better ends is definitly worth it I think =) I was very happy the last few times I trimmed, my ends got much thicker, even though I still have a ton to trim to get them really even. I keep going back and forth between trimming back to below waist and adding bangs, or letting it go back to classic with trims and mantain there, or even growing it longer and try to get further down closer to the knees. It's not easy to decide =P
It's funny that in the video I still seem so muscular, now that you mentioned it... I lost 10 kg in the last year and am much more skinnier now. Oh well!
Thank you for your comment Jason =) And I must say I'm very happy for you that you've fallen into such a great place in life and have a beautiful family now =) My most sincere congrats to you! =D
Thank you very much. I do treasure my family.
Wow !
Very impressive update of some very impressive hair.
.....and it has been my privilege to have followed your entire journey.
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Oh Walter, the privelige was mine for being able to share it here and learn so much from this place and you guys. Thank's for your comment =)
Wow!!! Your hair is looking great. I was looking at the comments and am confused as to what you mean by "feminizing?"
I would mention that at 5'8" and 160 pounds I don't look
particularly masculine. Since i'm always wearing cut off
shorts and wearing my hair long I could easily see where I could
be mistaken for a woman even though I have a moustache and
had a beard for many years.
At the age of 58 i've come to the conclusion i'll never
look particularly masculine. Even after many years of weight lifting/excercizing/etc. I still don't look particularly
masculine. I probably would have to put on about 200 pounds and
be about a foot taller to really look masculine. Neither are
going to happen at any time the future.
BTW, I don't wear any earrings. After seeing what my wife goes
through with her earrings i've never had the desire to try them.
Hi there ^^ Thank you for your comment!
Well, I've been known in real life for being quite feminine and androgynous and I've made it quite obvious in the last year by loosing a lot of weight and starting to wear a lot of female clothing. This came from basically studying feminine fashion for men a lot and even doing my master's degree around the theme of male femininity. I was always very feminine so it comes natural to me, and whenever I'm out in public, most of the times people address me as though I were female.
Those comments on the video come from a person that probably thought I was considering transitioning to a female, which is not the case at all. Even though I love femininity and act feminine most of the time I do like my male body and I do acknowlege it.
As for the earring, I have been considering them lately because I do love accessories and jewelry, but I am very hesitant when it comes to piercing my body, I do not really think I would like it. Also, I do wear tons of necklaces and earring would clash to much lol =P
Thank's for your interest!
After seeing what my wife goes through with ear infections,
loosing earrings, etc. I decided many years ago to skip
earrings. Not worth the hassles involved.
Hi Joao David,
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your new video. Your hair is truly amazing in all respects! I have missed your updates here and on your blog. I really enjoy looking at your progress pics for inspiration. I hope you never cut your hair. Hopefully you will let it grow even longer. Whatever you decide it will look awesome! Keep us updated!
Take care, Ted
Hi Ted!
Thank you =) I'm very happy to share my progress even though I'm much more absent now... but I'll never forget how everything started for me, and I will always be back to keep you guys updated =)
It was not only your hair that grew, you also grew up since your first posts. (My hair was still brown those days and now it's salt & pepper!!) Beautiful hair as always!!! Good job!!! Parabéns pelo lindo cabelo!! ;-)
That is so nice of you to say =) I feel i've grown as a person yes ^^ And of course I'm much older T_T lol
Salt and pepper hair is part of life I guess and I think it looks very cool!
Of course many remember you and your awesome hair. Congratulation on your recent video it too is nicely done. As to your feminine appearence, it makes no difference it is all about your feelings witin. Clothes do not make the individule. Life is about exploring and enjoying all it has to offer.
Dawn
Hello Dawn!
I agree with you 100%. I'm only living once so I won't let any kind of boundary stop me from doing whatever ;)
Thank you for your comments! =)
Hi João,
It is great to hear from you, and of course I remember you! Thank you for sharing your inspirational update, and as always, your hair is outstanding, with great thickness and natural waves.
Take care,
David
Hi David! =D
Good to hear from you, thank you for your comments! =)I hope you've been ok ^^
Your hair is extremely beautiful, and certainly makes a very powerful impression. I love it (read that as "I'm truly envious).
With such magnificent hair and new body image, have you considered becoming a model. There are a lot of male models with long hair, and it might be a great career move. Just a thought.
Hello there =) Thank you for the comments!
Well there's no need to be jealous, we all have beautiful things and we should be proud of them =) I'm sure your hair is great too!
I have considered modeling but I've never gotten into it. I am too short anyways, I'm only 175cm tall, and most models are above 180cm in height... But if one day I am invited, I will try it out yeah =)
No problem, thanks for reading!
Absolutely breathtaking...I've admired your hair for years, ever since I first became a member myself.
Thank you so much =) I hope your long hair journey turns out as fine and that it makes you as happy as mine did me =)

My apologies for not posting sooner. Your hair looks fantastic in that video.
Scott
Hello Scott!
Thank you for your comment, I apreciate it =) I've been such a fan of your hair and hair wisdom for ever since I got here =) I hope everything's ok with you ^^
Hey Joao - David,
It's great to see your update.
Awesome hair and well taken care of.
Why don't you show your anymore?
Take care,
John in Denver.
OMG !!! - All I can say is WOW !!! - how magnificent is ur mane - I was agog & mesmerized !!! ... maybe in 3.5 years, I too, can be of that caliber - thx. for posting - a true inspiration to me. cheers CEM.
Hi Joao,
This is my first post in years. I remember you from when I had long hair and used to visit the site almost every day! I never posted any pics though.
Very impressive hair. It seems to behave itself quite well! Mine didn't - it looked OK loose but did not like staying in a ponytail!
I tried a few other styles and nowadays I get a fairly short haircut but only about four times a year!
Hey João,
I just came across your video last night... your hair's looking super!!! Man, now if my hair could only grow that long one day :p heh~
Keep up the good work ^^ !
Sincerely,
Eric
