For a laugh:

(To those unfamiliar with The Onion, it is satire. I think it is fairly obvious, but I'm mentioning this just in case)
Reminds me of many a thanksgiving at relatives where i'd get
the usual complaints about my long hair.
Well that was many years ago, i'm now 58 years old, all those
uncles have since passed on and i'm now one of the oldest in the
family. And i'm now that eccentric uncle who has long hair.
Let this be lesson to the younger guys on this site,
yeah you're getting hassled about your hair but there will
come a day when those complaining relatives will die off
and you'll be the oldest in the family. Just stick to your
guns and you too can, one day, be that eccentric uncle with
long hair. The nice thing about it is I don't get any hassles about my hair anymore. (It stopped completely when I hit my 40s.)
The moral of the story: keep your long hair long and don't give
in to those who want you to cut your great looking hair.
Finally it is sad when relatives die but the upside is the
complaints about your hair die with them and you get to set
a new tone for the family, a tone that is supportive of those
guys and girls in the family who want to grow their hair to whatever length they desire.
