I wanted to know after washing hair and rinse is it better to air dry, towel dry or blow dry wet hair? Also I seen sites where it says you should use satin pillow cases and not cotton to protect hair from damaging. I wanted to know if this is true and is cotton good still since I use cotton ones. Third question is i have thin flat pillow and hair gets really flat and thin and heard firm bigger pillows work better and is this true? Last thing is putting a body towel on pillow ok and laying dry head on it only? Because my hair gets greasy fast and pillowcase gets greasy like within 2 days and thought putting towel might help. But not sure if towel would get rid of the natural oils. Sorry if questions may sound strange or make no sense but growing hair long for first time and want to avoid damage since i seen this info on other sites and want to correct info.
Hi and hope these answers might be of help to you.

Air dry is the kindest of all to your hair.
Sometimes I think that these days people are way too much in a panic about things. I mean really, we all need to sleep and who wants to put their head on a rock! Just a regular pillow should do fine. It always has.
It all depends on ones hairtype and yes, I can see why this would hold true.
Yes. Hair is much stronger than many give it credit for. Mother Nature knew very well what she was doing when she planned that long hair for both Men and Women was necessary.
I always air dry. My hair air drys fast.
I use cotton with no issues.
I've noticed that my hair is not as "poofy" the next day. The hair is flatter from sleepiing on it. I've never tried silk
pillow cases, so I have no idea if that has any effect.
Hi Metal Dude,
I have heard of people using special pillowcases and procedures to dry their hair. However, I think the main thing you should do is to not rub your hair dry with a bath towel. I think that does much more damage than sleeping on a cotton pillow case. I always final rinse my hair under the coldest water I can handle before getting out of the shower. This has made a world of difference for my coarse hair texture. Just pat your hair dry with the bath towel and let your hair dry. My hair is not even shoulder length yet, but I am getting myself in these habits now. Hope this helps.
