I've been lurking here for years. I thought my longhair hopes were dead since I'm a grown up now (44 years old). BUT, I decided in the spring to take the plunge and grow my hair out. I'm making good progress and loving it! I've had no urges to cut it. I think my last haircut was late spring and I told my stylist what I was doing, so she just trimmed!
Thanks for the support and wish me luck.
Hi Growlur,
I am glad you are growing your hair and found this wonderful board. You will find much help and inspiration here. Just let your hair do it's thing and enjoy the different milestones you achieve. I am 46 years old and dammit I am going to grow my hair! Happy to hear you're having no urges to cut. Also happy to hear you have a trustworthy stylist! Those are hard to come by! They always seem to multiply what you say you want trimmed. I wish you much success in your hair farming!
Take care, Ted
Thanks Ted!
I'm 58 years old, started growing my hair long in 1964 and have
had it long ever since. I fully intend to keep my hair long until the day I die.
At 58 i'm as grown up as i'm going to get and i'm going to continue to wear my hair as long as I want.
Very cool, thanks for sharing!
Thought I'd share a pic from tonight on the webcam!
Hi Growlur,
Now that is badass! Very nice design! Thanks for sharing!

Welcome aboard the mlhh Growlur and congrats on your longhair journey at your young age:)As always just let it grow before getting too trim happy if you want a really long length. If you just want it shaggy then you'll be there in no time.Cheers

Sounds great! Never too late to grow that mane out. I started growing my hair at 40 and have not looked back since.
Onward and Downward!

Thanks for all the support guys! I really appreciate it. No trims planned until January!
