A friend of mine who had been working at a job for 5 years with no issues with long hair on guys. The manager left for another job and the new manager told my friend he would have to cut his hair. My friend sued him and won. The judge told the manager if he was intent on short hair only in the work place he would have to implement a policy that would include men and women so he would have to tell all the women they would have to cut there's.. Needless to say he did not. Was very happy with the outcome.
Posted before I read the below post by wynn. Good luck Wynn hang in there. Getting better just slow lol..
Hi Mike,
I am very happy to hear of this news. Serves that idiot manager right. Now if we could just set a precedent and stop this nonsense. Long locks forever! Congratulations to your friend!

I would be interested to know more about this case. Which country and state/province that this case was in? Did it make the news?
It is good that this case was won. I think since the Barack Obama was elected in 2008 i have been seeing more and more younger and older guys with long hair around the place where I live which I think is great as it makes longer hair more normal and more mainstream. Power in numbers.
Cheers,
Duncan
I has not made the news as of yet, it was decided this morning. I'll try to get more info on it when the courts and records open up after the Holiday.
I agree. The increasing popularity for long hair on dudes over the past four years or so is great ... but I think it has nothing whatsoever to do with Barack Obama's election in 2008 - not even in the USA. The increasing popularity is pretty well universal in the Western World - certainly here in Western Europe - and is just a general shift in fashion trends.
Here in the UK at least, it is connected to the "80s Revival" - not necessarily a strictly accurate portrayal of that decade but loosely evidenced in the resurgence of such things as skinny jeans, biker jackets, etc. Such revivals tend to be a generational thing - harking back to the fashions of around 30 years earlier. In the 1970s, it was the 1940s that inspired. In the 1980s, it was the 1950s ... and so on.
And fashion trends tend to be set by pop stars, movies and other popular culture - not by presidential elections.

I'll second that thought that longhair on men nowadays has nothing to do with feckless politicians of any party. All they are good for is making life miserable for the average citizen.Longhairs carve their own path in the game known as life.Cheers
