The good news is the fashion types are saying long hair for men is in "fashion". The bad news is this article suggests using all sorts of products and gizmos most of us around here know are not very good for maintaining healthy long hair. Alas the fashion industry is nothing if it can't try to talk people into buying things.
Still, I figured some of you might find this article interesting. There are some good pics and general ideas. Just go easy on the goop.
Those wretched people who cut men's hair are surely no fans of long hairs as it reduces their available work and thus revenue. As a result they need to think of ways of getting long hairs to spend money with them - and if it damages the hair then..... more revenue in advising people go back to short hair.

I think this is actually good since anything that makes long hair for men more mainstream helps all of us. We have also been guilty of wearing our hair in ratty, terminal length when (in my opinion), a small amount of neat trimming makes it look good. The guy shown has nice, fairly long hair and it works for him. If he pays a stylist to keep looking good, that's good for all of us.
A lot of those hair improvement suggestions - getting rid of grease at the roots, adding volume, etc. - don't require any type of expensive product. They can be achieved with ordinary baby powder. Just shake some onto the top of your head and some onto your hairbrush, then brush your hair. It's probably best suited to those with fair hair who don't mind their hair looking a shade or two lighter than normal.
