One of the posters suggested Lincoln.
Is there anything special about the area?
I admit I don't know much about it, but it sounds like an ideal town from what one of the posters indicated.
please tell me more.
Hi SteveK,
Anything special about the area? Fly-over country, but that's because most people are in too much of a hurry flying over or down the "Boring Nebraska Interstate" and not seeing what's actually there ^_~ .
I guess you can read much about Lincoln on Wikipedia:

...or look at it here:

...but Lincoln is a small city that's a big town - a pretty friendly place. Lincoln is a sports city, a music city, a dining city, a University city and the center of government for the state. Lincoln tilts blue - the last three mayors have been Democrat. It's a progressive city... a couple of years ago city voters passed a $344M bond issue to build an arena and entertainment district downtown similar to ones in Kansas City (but without the same financing mistakes). Here:

Just completed a 10 year, $175M revitalization project near east downtown called the Antelope Valley Project (phase 1)... creating an open stream, a central city park (Union Park), parkways and bicycle trails seen here:

Is on track to modify a section of downtown similar to Pearl Street in Boulder, CO - "P" Street, here:

Lincoln is also a huge multicultural city being a refugee relocation center. You can eat all kinds of food from anywhere! The University just got old State Fair Park land and is turning it into a Technology Research Park similar to some flagship tech parks in the nation.
No major layoffs, house values & construction increasing, one of the biggest trail systems in the nation, a city of 255,000, safe neighborhoods, short commute times... just a few things mentioned but each one is a great reason to live in Lincoln!
Here are some local job postings:

Anyways, I've babbled on long enough about something off the topic of hair :p . Any more questions, feel free to ask. Hope you find the right place someday :) ~
Sincerely,
Eric
