Stopped growing?

  I have long hair and it seems to have stopped growing. I haven't cut it for 2 and a half years, wondering if it seems to have stopped because I'm shedding what I would be cutting off? I'm not in great health, maybe that's why. My facial hair grows.

  It only reaches to the top of my back.

    Hm...I'm no hair expert but I reckon it might be going through a resting phase. It could also depend on genetics as well as age, but I don't wanna jump the gun and say it could be something as major as hair loss. How long has your hair stagnated its' growth?

      It was supremely long around January 2008, but my health deteriorated during that year and I neglected to look after it - it's not in great condition. (Grey, straggly.) I do wonder if it would noticeably grow if I cut it a bit shorter, but I have a phobia of hairdressers so it's staying, in whatever shape.
