To show a little more about me and what I'm into, I'm posting this pic showing me and two of my Papillon, Mylea and Rufus. Rufus, the one in my lap, is out of my first litter of pups that I delivered a few years back. My breeder said he was worth a small fortune when he was a pup, and I kept him. He's become my best bud.

Thanks, but the reason they look like funny cats is because they're dogs! LOL! Hey, I'm with you. My wife and I need our animals in our lives. They teach us so much about unconditional love.

Yes a lovely hair duo. Dogs make great and loyal friends and I for one am a strong believer in having a pet for the duration of it's live. My tabby cat Princess passed last year on May 19, aged 13 and I miss her dearly. I am more of a cat person but love all creatures great and small. You have a great mane of hair there Steve of which you must be very proud indeed!

Hey, Mark. Thanks for your comments. I'm finding out there are a lot of animal lovers here on the board and that really makes me happy. The Papillon dog is my favorite breed and my wife, Pam and I have been professional breeders of them for about eight years. They are what a lot of my daily energy goes into. I really find a lot of my happiness and fulfillment in the love and care I can give them. It's just my thing, I guess. We have four Papillons and I would have a dozen if I could get by with it!

There a few greater joys in life than sharing one's home with an animal (or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5... depending on how much room one has in the house - LOL)!
Currently I have 3 cats myself; but my brothers and I grew up with a dog & cat combo that chased each other around the house, played, napped, and even cuddled together. If i had more space in my apartment, no doubt about it, I'd love to have a dog -- I miss that special gift that dogs bring (even though I'm madly in love with my cats, don't get me wrong - LOL)....
Also, before I forget to mention it: besides a wonderful shot of your dogs, your hair in this pic looks hands-down SUPERB!!!
I'm typing this at 3 AM on my boss's computer at work right now; so i best be getting back to bed now in my sleep-over room here, so i can get up in the morning and do my job (LOL); but your post here was just too irresistible to simply stay lurking in the shadows -- so i just had to speak up and say a big THANK YOU for sharing such a terrific pic and post!

Thanks for the comments, Ken. I knew when my wife started shooting pictures of the dogs and me that I wanted to share one of them. She and I have bred Papillons for over eight years and have owned a few for over 15. I spend a lot of my time and energy caring for the four we have, but I sure do get a lot back in the bargain.
