My hair seems to be kinda coarse (wirey). Is there anything that I can use on it to help without resorting to harsh chemicals.
Hi Mike,
I also have somewhat coarse hair and I found that if I use a good quality shampoo and conditioner it helps. Also, if I limit my use of shampoo it keeps my hair softer. But I think the main thing that helps my hair stay soft is that I always final rinse my hair under very cold water. I shampoo and condition with warm water though. I also comb the conditioner and cold water through my hair. I have much softer hair now. Hope this helps.

Thanks.. Will give that a go..
I actually tried that for the very first time today. Not yet sure how the effect on my hair is, since it's rather short yet, and since I use some argan oil after washing, but I will update on whether it helps with reducing the volume and frizziness of my hair.
Hi Raul,
I have read some good reviews of using Argan oil. I have yet to try it though. I would be interested in your results. Take care my friend.

Hi Ted,
My girl swears by it, and it really does leave my hair feeling softer and more glanceful. Will have to keep testing it on longer hair to really get a good inpression of it. Same to you!
Hi Raul,
Does it make your hair look wet at all? I try to use things that don't make my hair look wet. That may change as I get more length.
Ted
Well, here I was about to describe to you that it does not at all make yor hair look wet, as it's more thick than most oils... but I figured out the best way is simply to show you, so here's a pic I took a few secs ago.
Raul your hair looks great in this pic. My wife just got some of that oil. I may have to try some of it and see what it does. I really like your look in this pic by the way. Way cool man:)

Well, it's the "saturday afternoon slob" look, and I'm damn proud of it too, hehe.
The oil I use is actually sent to me all the way from my mom back in Israel, since it's 10 times cheaper there than here in Norway.
I use the Style Aromatherapy "Ancient Secrets" Moroccan Argan Oil type, and while it costs up to 60 USD here, it's aroud 10 or so USD back in Israel... probably somewhere in between where you are in the states.
Hair is short, but it's getting longer by the day, and I love being able to feel I've got some volume in my hands when washing it... all it takes is some patience ;)
Aragan oil (not spelled right) is pricey lol
Yea keep us updated ;)
Well, it all depends on how coarse we're talking here. I haven't used it myself, but I hear a lot of talk about jojoba oil for beard hair, so it should work for scalp hair too. My hair doesn't really get coarse, just dry. I usually wet it every couple of days and do a conditioner only wash once a week. Just try stuff out and see what works for you. As long as it isn't some kind of hair torture, you'll probably just look silly for a day.
There is nothing wrong with that, why to do you want to change it?
It just doesnt fall down like it should lol. It sticks out like a afro. On some people that looks fine but on me it just doesnt.
