new thread
Hey everyone! My name is Steve and I've been lurking around this site for a while but this is my first time posting finally.
For years I would just buzz my own hair and then go about my day but I eventually got bored of that and as I saw more and more guys who looked awesome with long hair I decided that I wanted to join the club. So I stopped cutting my hair in Jan 2012 and I've been enjoying the hell out of the journey so far.
The front of my hair just barely reaches to my mouth now and the back of it reaches down to my collarbone. I can manage to get most of it in a ponytail now finally.
I've been having fun playing around with different styles as my hair gets longer and one of the styles I've really enjoyed is the White Guy Fro which I rocked out pretty well when my band (Super Guitar Bros) performed at Magfest XI in Washington DC last month. I'll post a picture of myself at the show since thats my most recent picture of myself.
I'm really happy to be doing something new and exciting with my hair and not just the same old boring thing all the time. I'm glad to be a part of this site now and am looking forward to meeting you all.

Septet, yep that pic is from Magfest last month. I was debating what style I should go with for that weekend and decided to go with the fro. Which was great because a lot of people recognized me after the show and came up to talk to me about how much they liked it. I also got lots of compliments on my hair of course.
Also there were a lot of rock/metal bands there and I forgot how great it feels to headbang with long hair. Headbanging with a buzz cut just does not compare to the feeling of whipping your hair around your face. I can't wait until it gets even longer!!
So I tried posting the link to our page under the message but I don't think that worked... Well if you go to Youtube and just search Super Guitar Bros you'll find us pretty easily. Also as the videos get more recent you can see my hair growing out from the buzz cut.

As a huge gamer since the early 90's and quite a geek, I have to tell you, bro- you guys are really talented, and make some awesome acoustic covers! The castlevania medley gave me goosebumps! :) great work!
Thanks Raul. That's one of my personal favorites. You might wanna subscribe if you haven't already because we just recorded some new stuff this week so we should hopefully be releasing something new within the next few weeks.
