Instead of combing my hair back like I usually do, I just shook it and let it set. This is what happened. It bounces like a spring!
Hi Septet,
Wow, your hair is very curly! I really love thoe curls and can't wait to see your hair longer! The color is awesome also! People pay good money to get hair like yours. You should be proud of that hair! Hope you have a great weekend my friend! Keep it growing please! Thanks for the update!
Ted
Thanks Ted, I rather like it too. Even if I wish it were a different color some days.
Hi Septet,
Good for you for exploring your natural hair texture. It looks awesome. I had my moments during really hot humid weather. I did not like this look on me but on other people I liked it better.
From my old hair archives. Me during the awkward stage. shhhhhhh let's keep this btw us. Ok I'll do this just for you! I sometimes feel like getting rid of these picture, but at the same time I keep them to remind myself never to ever cut my hair. I wore my hair in a bandanna for an entire year cause I hated my hair when it curled really bad on really humid days.
I had Bi-polar hair back then, really curly on humid days, straightish on non- humid days.
I had private moments of making a collage of my curly texture side to see if i'd like it, but it never did happen....But now that my hair is almost mid back length, my hair does not get this curly anymore, it was only the awkward stages that I had experienced my hair at its curliest during hot humid weather.
Ok this was when I first could do pigtails. As you can see my hair is transforming into waves during humid days.
Once my hair reached shoulder length I stopped wearing a bandanna. :) I guess for some of us, hair texture gradually changes. I hope you are happy with your texture because it looks really cool on you. I wish I had someone tell me this when I was going through the awkward stages, I guess your lucky to have found the MLHH during the most critical time of growing hair. I wish you the best of luck. As the saying goes on here,
"Onward and downward,"
rowie
Hi rowie,
Thanks a bunch for these nice photos! I must say you are a handsome looking dude! I really like the bandana photo. It showcases your hair beautifully! So your hair actually straightened out on its own with length? Did it really straighten out a lot? Does your hair feel heavy at all since it's gotten longer?
Ted
Wow rowie, thanks for the support, and those great pics. They're very artsy, and your hair looks great!
I don't generally go outside during the winter months, but it was warm a few days ago so I went for a walk. As I was walking, I felt something on my eye. Thinking I had walked through a spiderweb, I reached up to pull it off. That was when I realized it was attached to my head! I started laughing right there, it was the first time I really felt alive in nearly a year.
I wanna thank everyone on this forum for being so kind and supportive. Even though I would still be growing my hair if I hadn't found you, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun.
Hi Rowie,
First off, I want to compliment you on always putting so much detail and effort into your posts here on the LMHH. I notice you always take good time to post detailed answers, tips, experiences and often add lots of great pictures to show what you mean... great job, man!
Would also love to know how do you post several different pics in one post, so I can minimize my spamming of this board, hehe.
And last but not least, it´s quite amazing to see how curly you really are, alot more than me, I found out, and yet, how great and rather straight you hair looks when long.. must be the weight of your thick hair as well as some treatments which compliment your hair. Hope I can learn from you a few ways of getting rid of some of that curl, hehe.
Wow Septet: You have great looking curly hair and I like the long chin wiskers as well, a great look for you.
Tom(Hairboy)
Thanks Hairboy, I'm planning on growing both my hair areas (haireas?) To terminal length. The goat is long enough to tie into a small bundle right now.
Side note, is it still called a tail if it involves your beard? I can't seem to find an answer on this...
Hi Septet,
Wow, you definitely beat me in the curl department, and it seems you beat even other known curly dudes on here, like Rowie... fun stuff, as it looks great on on! :)
You remind me alot in your facial features of the character of Opie from Sons of Anarchy, you know who I´m talking about? Pretty sure he straightens out his hair, but the beard and the face are earlily simmilar, hehe...
Fun stuff man, keep on growing! And I completely agree with you, this place makes growing our hair alot more of an enjoyable journey!
Thanks Raul, though the gods only know where the curls come from. Both my parents and grandparents have stick straight hair.
I can't say I've ever seen that show, isn't it about a biker gang fighting the Mob or something?
Hi Septet,
Cheers for curls, and for embracing your hair's natural look. Keep everything growing, and those curls will be awesome the longer they get!
Keep it growing,
David
Thank you for your kind words, David. Don't worry, this hair isn't going anywhere. Unless you count "towards my butt" as a direction.
