It's been quite some time since I posted any current photos, and since Raul expressed some curiosity a while back, I thought I'd oblige. This first photo was taken last Halloween... I dressed as Gomez Addams, to compliment my daughter's Wednesday costume :)
My last haircut, which (in addition to shaving off my beard!) was done for the sole purpose of making this costume work, took place just a few days prior.
Sorry for the previously non-rotated picture... I'm still not an expert with the iPad. This photo was taken around Christmas, when everybody was confusing me with Ben Affleck's character from the film "Argo." ;)

I appreciate the words of encouragement. I must admit that, apart from the occasional physical annoyance of hair in my eyes, the shaggy phase really doesn't bother me all that much. In fact, I mostly enjoy it! I don't spend much time "styling" it, but instead just keep it clean, conditioned, and brushed, and let the hair do its own thing.
As for Argo, I actually haven't seen it yet, but you'd be amazed at how many complete strangers have approached me to tell me about the resemblance!

Thanks, Dale! Yeah, I think I am actually a little bit further along than I was when I had it cut... this is probably the longest it's been in a couple of years. I'm lucky in that it does seem to grow fast, and I find the journey itself enjoyable.

Thanks, Mârk! I'm a HUGE Addams Family fan, and can't say that I regret having done the Gomez costume, especially with my little Wednesday; it's a cool memory. Now that that's out of my system (the final short-haired 'hurrah,' as it were), it's full steam ahead (or is it a full head of steam?) towards longhairdom... midback/bottom of shoulder blades.

Thanks, Raul. My daughter and I have a history of collaborating on Halloween costumes. Years back, I actually shaved my head for a Shrek costume (to her Princess Fionna). Another favorite was our Beauty and the Beast theme.
I'm looking forward to letting it get LONG again, though... and I'm looking forward to your future updates, as well!
