Hey fellas!
Time for posting a few more old pictures, for no good reason other than reminding myself that my hair will indeed get there eventually :)
First shot is of me at the Mayhaugen national park in Lillehammer (where the winter olympic games of 1994 were held)- a place exhibiting old norse housing and crafts from many centuries ago :)
Second pic doesn't show a lot of hair, but it definitiely shows some norwegian scenery from the mighty frozen rural district of Gudbrandsdal :)
Still had my winter jacket back from serving in the Israeli Defense Force... Much more useful in Scandinavia than in the middle east, let me tell you that! ;)
Very nice pics Raul!
As always, thanks for sharing. Here's my email if you like to chat personally:

Thanks, John!
Feel free to add me as a friend on Facebook, buddy :) Don´t really have the time to check my mail so often, so most of my socializing online is through Facebook :) Raul Lenesin Taylor is my name :)
fb request sent! :)
Last picture is from the same trip, this time observing a stave-church, one of the older ones in all of europe, though the name eludes me now.
Hair looks nice and thick, too. Lets hope it grows as nicely this time around too ;)
Well, here's me with hair at what was the maximum length (before I got caught and got into major trouble).
Time to grow it back out after school's over... I'm pretty sure that I'm one report away from expulsion, so I'd rather not risk it, especially since there's only about 3 months still graduation.
At the same time, I discovered that I REALLY like sailing, so I'll need to figure out a way to have long hair and not have it be a nuisance, considering that racing boats typically don't leave any room for error.
Hi .mkl!
Definitely a wise choice waiting until after graduation! As someone who is around 3 months into his hair journey, I can tell you that in the grand scheme of things, 3 months ain´t nothing, and you are being smart about delaying it in order to graduate without trouble :)
As for the question of yours, we have Jason on here who is into cycling and surely has some great tips for you as for how to put up the hair while covered with sweat and in full speed ahead, so that it doesn´t get in the way of competing ;)
The nice thing about wearing a helmet with cycling is that it always keeps one's hair out of the face. I'm not sure if there would be any form of head protection with sailing so one's hair might be more likely to obstruct vision.
As for the length, braiding helps and I will sometimes coat it with coconut oil before a ride. This is especially great for the hair when it's warm out and the sun can help the oil soak into the hair for the duration of the ride.
That said, I think it's inevitable that there will be some damage to hair that is exposed outside during vigorous activity. It's a small price to pay for enjoying sport and keeping fit!
Hi Raul,
I am loving these old pictures you have been posting! I think it would be nice to visit these places. Please keep posting these pics my friend!
Sorry I haven't replied to you on Facebook! Between surfing eBay and everything else I am just a busy man! LOL I just can't seem to find time for everything! Take care my friend!
Ted
Hi Ted,
Thanks, buddy! And no worries, I am guilty of the same here sometime, when I have a really busy week and sometime miss a post meant towards me, or don´t have time to write the reply it deserves... I understand completely :)
Norway is definitely a marvelous palce, and once I´ve grown my hair to something that can be defined as long-ish, I will definitely be posting lots more pictures of me out in the nature! There simply is something so tranquil and relaxing about hiking on a mountain or deep in a forrest... absolutely love it!
Hi Raul,
Can't quite tell the length of your hair in this pic but from what I can conclude it does look longish.Kind of looks like you are in some sort of fort there waiting for the enemy to arrive!LOL.Anyway thanks for the updates, from the past, but the real excitement will be the future my friend:) Cheers
Mârk
Hi Mark,
My hair is indeed at around shoulder length, but I guess it´s too dark in contrats to the dark background in order to really see it, sorry about that.
Yeah, the future is definitely the exciting part, and my plan is already to grow my hair at least to twice the length I had it back in 2007. This is going to be fun, and each and every passing month is a step towards that direction and goal :)
Here's a snapshot of my hair, way back in 1995. Sadly, I don't have many others from my youthful, longhaired days.
Hi Val,
1995 was a great year! Your hair just looks fantastic in this photo! Thanks for posting it and I can't wait to see it long again! Time and patience my friend! Great weekend to you and yours!
Ted
Thank you for the kind words, Ted. At no other point in my life have I "looked" on the outside the way I "felt" on the inside more truly than I did then. Definitely looking forward to a new era of authenticity!

Funny, as i always thought I have really thick and curly hair, and then I see pics like these and realize there are people who beat me on both accounts ;) Mine is pretty much the same at the bottom with thos of curls, but the hair from the top of my head cascading down the back of my head sure is straighter.
Can´t wait to see you back at this length, and even longer!
Hello Raul,
Love seeing your pictures and just been too busy lately to put much in the way of replies. Keep taking those photos and the past ones of you with long hair is a good reminder to you as to what you want.
I love old historic buildings too.
Cheers,
Duncan
