A while back (see below) I posted about being in search of a new job, as my company had lost the contract I was employed under. Well, the dust has finally settled from that whole mess, and (as some had suggested) I got picked up by one of the companies that had won the contract. Same pay, equivalent benefits, they even gave me a leave rate close to what I was getting at my old company after 9+ years. And never a word about my hair. Saying I'm feeling relieved doesn't come anywhere close to my sense of near-euphoria.
Thanks for all the good wishes and support!!
Frodo
Congratulations on the getting the new job and keeping the old hair! Best wishes to you and yours :)

Hi Frodo,
I am very happy to hear this good news! However, I must tell you I wasn't worried. They more than likely took one look at your mane and the deal was sealed! This is why there was nothing said about your hair! Congratulations my friend and enjoy your new job! I wish you much success and satisfaction!

I am delighted to hear that great news, Mr. Frodo
Thanks for Sharing...
Awesome to her, Frodo! Your thread was one of the first ones I´ve read just around joining this board, I recall.. it´s fantastic to hear everything turned out fine for you, your financial situation AND your hair :)
Fantastic news!!
I'm so glad you didn't do anything rash and that everything worked out so well.
Hi Frodo,
That is awesome news, congrats to you, and that is also great that you were able to keep your mane!

This is great news, Jim. It would have been awful to lose such a magnificent mane. If I recall correctly, your mane is classic length. I hope to see a law passed, in my lifetime, that makes company male haircut policies illegal. (I think it is that way in many European countries now.)

The EU has Article 10 of the Human Rights Act, which protects the right to self expression. Not perhaps the most reliable way of protecting long hair. If an octogenarian judge can interpret new laws in a conservative way, he usually will, IMHO.
The DC Human Rights Act actually has 'hair style' as a protected class, which seems a much better model for a law, but of course the rest of the US has nothing.
Not only had nobody complained about my hair, I got compliments from two of the ladies in the building on my first day! Doesn't get much better than that!
