Well, it seems my hair has grown beyond the point of eliciting comments regarding the film, "Argo." The other day, someone asked when Serpico started working here... LOL!
--Val
(Actually, my hair is a fair bit longer than Pacino's, above.)
Hey Val what a striking resemblance! Maybe a slight different in actual hair length but what a great match:)I love it when people pair up us longhairs with some famous ones that are quite well know. There is hope my friend!Cheers
Mârk
Thanks, Mârk... it is fun to go through the list of celebrity look-alikes as the hair grow longer :)

I think there's a definite resemblance. I read the book (LOL!). Not sure if I ever saw the film.
I haven't seen the film, either (nor read the book), but I am a Pacino fan, so I'll have to add it to the list of movies-to-see.

Hi Val,
Wow what an uncanny resemblance you have to Mr. Pacino! I bet you really got a kick out of that one! Good on ya my friend!
Ted
Hi Ted,
I suppose there are less flattering comparisons that could've been made... For example, years ago, when I was clean-shaven with short, spiky hair, someone told me I looked like Ben Stiller!

Hey Val,
Must feel awesome having found your long lost twin brother, eh? :D
Raul,
It WOULD be awesome if I found that Al Pacino was my long lost brother.

Best comment I got was: "Wow, I wondered what had happened to Hanson..."
"Mmmm Bop!"
LOL, I love comments like that! (And yes, I do see a resemblance!)
When I grew my hair back after my infamous Y2K haircut, I heard a lot of funny comments from various dance friends as they looked on over the months, seeing my hair return gradually back to longer and loooooonger...
"Big Boy Hamburgers" and "Herbie" (the elf who wanted to become a dentist, from the Christmas-season cartoon Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer) at the beginning of the awkward stages; then "Jeremiah Johnson", and of course "Jesus!" Nowadays, all I ever hear is, "Has anyone ever told you that you could pass for Santa Claus?" OMG, no, I've never heard that before - LOL!
Thanks also for your kind reply below, and your generous invite -- I greatly appreciate it, and you never know! The last time I was back in the midwest was August of 2001, visiting my youngest brother and nieces and nephews there... who would have ever guessed that just one month later, air travel in the US would change forever, due to 9/11.
I'd extend the same offer to you and your family as well, if you ever decide to visit out West; but if you saw how small my SF studio apartment is, you'd realize why I can't have any houseguest here, other than maybe an extra visiting cat or 2 (LOL).... such is life in the big city!
I really like your new avatar pic, by the way -- lookin' TERRIFIC!!!
- Ken
Thanks, Ken :)
No worries about the small apartment... if we ever make it out that way, I'll be sure we at least connect for a good meal!
It's interesting to hear what other people are reminded of by one's changing physical appearance on the path to self-actualization. Not to belabour the Santa Claus bit, but seriously... I would LOVE to look like Santa in another 20 years!
Cheers,
Val
Nice compliment! Better than me. The other day a mate compared me to a floor-mop! O_o
Damon

Haha! I wouldn't sweat it, Damon... I'm sure he meant it in the best possible sense of the word :)
