Sometimes I look at my hair and have the impression that the hairline receded. I am 22 years old, and I am afraid of premature baldness. By the way, I have blue eyes and it seems that blondish people are generally bald at a younger age! This is a thing that I noticed.
If your dad is bald, or your mom's dad is bald, then you have at least a 50 percent chance at being bald also. But it may be OK. Look at Prince Edward, all balded, and look at his brother Prince Charles, with a full thick head of hair.
If your dad is bald and your mom's dad is also bald, then give it up, or prepare to start fighting an expensive battle agsinst baldness.
Anyway, baldness (if its happen) will not stop me from having long hair! My father is not bald, but I doubt it means much.
If there is not a significant line of baldness in your immediate family, then I doubt you have anything to worry about. Paranoia can do weird things, dude!lol!
You are correct when you say "Anyway, baldness (if it happens) will not stop me from having long hair!".
My father isn't bald, neither was my mother's father, but I lost my hair on the top by the age of 35 (started at about 24). Have had one trim (8 years ago) in 10 years.
Keep growing, stop worrying (if you were worrying).
The male hairline recedes a little naturally with age. Going bald at 22 isnt really "premature" either.
If you are really concerned, see your dermatologist. S/He can look at your hair growth patterns and answer the question "Am I or Am I not?" once and for all. A dermatologist can also offer options for dealing with it.

I wouldn't get all worried. My father has very thin hair, and my mother's father was completely bald (as is my mother's brother). I assumed I was doomed to be bald like my uncle since I was a teenager. Though my hairline certainly has receded since I was 20, I am far from bald at nearly 31. My mother's brother was completely bald by the time he was 27! And we don't even have a picture of my grandfather with hair. Also, people told me when I was growing my hair out (6 years ago now) that it would make me go bald faster. Nonsense. In fact, my hairline started receding in my early twenties (with short hair), and has remained the same since I was about 26 or so (with long hair). Most men (and women) lose some hair with age.
