Good Saturday morning, everybody! :)
Here are my update pictures for the month of April!
At it´s current state, my hair is just about long enough to look like a messy, unkept mop, in the case of washing and not doing anything more to style it afterwards, and of course, short enough to still be far off "long" hair per say.
It also seems to me as if the hair or my frong grost a bit faster than the hair on the sides and back of my head, but that is probably becase I never really style the hair on the back of my head, thus enabling it to keep all it´s natural curl.
My routine right now is getting my hair completely wet before work, carefully towel drying it, slicking it back with hairgel, then splitting it in half and making some higher "waves" at the front to give it a more neat and upkept look. Even the day after, when the gel is all absorbed, it looks good enough for my taste.
Let me know what you think :)
The back of my head. Gotta love that mop growing all over the place, but hey, at least it IS growing indeed, right? :)
Btw, the beard is somewhat a funny subject, because some days I am *this* close to shaving it all over, and others I simply adore it. Good thing I am not that fickle with my hair, but we shall see what the fate of the beard is going to be ;)
Hi Raul,
Good Saturday to you also my longhaired brother! I really like these update pics! Your hair is looking great and will look even more awesome when it gets longer! You just take really good pictures and your hair and beard are a bonus! Your hair is definitely growing and before you know it, it's going to be mid-back length! Then you will have the total package-gauges, beard, tats and long hair!
Well, I have to go to dialysis treatment today because I had a doctor appointment yesterday. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and take care of yourselves! Onward and downward my friend!
Ted
It´s rather funny to see, actually, just how much curl I am getting at the bottom of my hair. I sewar those curls, when straightened out, were at least another 2-3 inches worth of length! :P
Good morning Raul and happy Saturday to you:)Yes I have to say your hair is growing in nicely as well as the beard. So with that said your head has very active hair follicles;)LOL.I know what you mean about the beard as I've had mine for years but in a way would not be heartbroken if I decided to get rid of it unlike my head hair which is a waaaay different story.Well beards grow back rather quickly so maybe that's part of it.I can't wait to see you with more length as I bet you'll look awesome! On top of that you have the tats and ear thing going on as a compliment.I kind of wondered about the ear tunnel myself but don't think I'm brave enough to do that so I'll just be happy with my earrings:)Anyway cool update and thanks for checking in my friend.BTW,doing a henna touch up to my hair this morning so its all full of mud at the moment;)LOL. Cheers

Heya Mark!
Thanks for the compliments, bro! I really cannot wait to feel the weight of some hair on the back of my head and shoulders when I move my head either... god knows it´s in the proccess, but it´s sure taking it´s time, hehe.
Yeah, I kinda always loved the alternative/biker look, and I feel the tattoos, the stretched lobes, long hair and facial hair go well togehter! My currentl beard inspiration is Opie from the SoA, though I am not sure I will even be able to wait that long to achieve such a length of a beard, we´ll see. Just like you, I am not as attached to it as to my head hair, and I do agree it probably has to do with how long it takes to grow it out again!
As for the stretched lobes, I can definitely reccomend it! Lots of fun with a much bigger variety in jewelry you can choose from when getting to some nice plugs/tunnels size, and the proccess itself sure is not at all painfull!
I have been using bodyartforms.com for years now, and from there you can get stretching tools (tapers and emo oil) as well as stretching jewelry and so on. Can definitely reccomend those great guys and gals from Tulsa, with outstanding customer service and great quality of jewelry!
If you still feel a bit hesitant to stretch yourself, I would go to the local piercer at the tattoo parlour and ask him to stretch your lobes with some nice captive beads. You will still feel as you are having earrings on, and you will be slowly moving towards more serious gauges :)
Go for it, bud! And enjoy the henna! :D
Hey Raul,
Oh I can't wait either to see you with hair cascading down over your shoulders:)I know that is something all longhairs here look forward to and possibly even beyond that. You certainly have what it takes to pull off the look.
Well I'm just about ready to wash out the henna so I can get outta here and enjoy the beautiful day:)I'll think about the ear tunnels as I've always liked them but just not too big.I've seen some guys with them really large but that would be too much for my liking.I'll also check out that web site so thanks for posting it:)Hope you day is going well my friend.Cheers

Raul,
Off to a great start. Looks good!
peace,
jonalbear
Thanks, jonalbear! Appreciate it! :)
Hi Raul,
Happy Saturday to you as well, and I hope that you have a great weekend!
Your hair and beard are both progressing very well indeed, and you are blessed with great thickness as well. I look forward to your future progress!
Keep it growing,
David
Hi David!
Thanks man, I do have quite some hairy genetics, being originally eastern european and all... guess there is a positive to anything! :P
Hey Raul! :-)
I think that your hair is looking fabulous, and a whole lot of guys NEVER have their hair looking as well as does yours at the stage you are in right now. Keep up the great work. It is really surprising the big difference every 1" makes, and they sure as heck all add up before you know it.
Take care-
Justin~
Hey Justin!
Thanks for the warm comments, always appreciated, my friend :)
Now, you should realize that this look in the picture is achieved by using tons of styling product in ordet do get my hair gain a straighter looking texture. This is the day after I have put on the gel. If I would show it in the state it´s right now, after a shower and no product having been used whatsoever, you´d be left wondering what´s that dead racoon doing on my head... :P
Either way, the inches are indeed starting to show, and the one year mark
doesn´t seem all that far anymore! Will definitely keep growing and not even think of a trim before it´s been at least a couple of years! :)
