Hi mlhh! it's been awhile since i last logged in. hehe. just wanna post a few updates of my hair before and after a little trim because my mom keep on nagging that my back hair was a mess a a bit too long. so, the left is "BEFORE" and at the right is "AFTER" the trim.
At least you didn't cut the front hair so it still looks cool.
Hi MG!
i'll maybe be thinking of cutting my bangs this july because i'm about to enter a local polytechnic college because local public colleges forbid male students from having long hair. so, that's why now i'm thinking of how to preserve all these hair and grow them even longer. but if i'm about to cut the bangs and at the sides to follow the rule, i'll maybe growing out the back hair and side-back hair as long as they'll not touching the collar-length.
ahseng, You might want to consider combing your hair straight
back. That way you can have it as long as possible before it
reaches your collar.
Hi ahseng,
Thank you for your picture update as you have great quality hair to work with:)That's really a shame you had to cut your hair as the most noticeable aspect from that trim is that the back went from just about touching your collar to a couple inches above it.Your hair does still look longish but it would be great if you could just let it grow out for a year or two before deciding on some sort of trim. Please keep us updated and maybe work on your mom explaining you want to grow longer hair because "you" want to:)Cheers my friend.

Hi Mârk,
thanks for your nice words. well, since i live with my parents, i need to adhere to their opinions. that's why i can't wait to further study and after that, to live on my own so that i can do whatever i wanna do. thanks again :D
Hi Ahseng - I agree with Mark - ur longhair potential is extra-ordinary ... glossy, blue-black, straight & thick = WOW !!! = SOMEONE HIDE DA SCISSORS !!! ... hehehe cheers CEM. :))
Hi CEM!
haha, do agree with you and not to brag, but i love my hair texture and the thickness but not really happy with the length because it's still an awkward length phase. lol :D
thanks btw :)
Hi ahseng,
Your hair looks great! However, I do believe your hair would look awesome when longer. I understand your Mom is telling you your hair looks "messy". But I hope she doesn't keep requesting that you cut it. The next thing you know, she will want it even shorter. I would try to talk her into letting you grow it out maybe to shoulder length. I believe your hair will look neat when allowed to grow all one length. Sometimes layering on straight hair like yours appears messy unless maintained. If all one length your hair will appear neat and proper.
Of course, I also think you might be living under your Mom's roof. So, these suggestions may be useless. But, if you don't try to stand your ground, your Mom may not think you're serious about growing your hair. I wish you much success in growing your hair out and look forward to seeing you as a long hair! Take care of yourself and have a great week my friend!
Ted
Hi Ted!
yup, you are correct that i'm currently living with my mum. that's why i cant wait to further study and then living on my own after that and grow my hair as long as i want. but that's still looking towards about 3-4 years ahead and i hope that i'll still be a mlhh member at that time to show all of you the progress. lol :D
Hi ahseng,
I will hope that you will grow your wonderful hair to the length you want one day! One step at a time and you shall get there!
Ted
I agree with the prevailing thought. The more you cut it, the worse it will look.
if you get your hair properly tapered (all hairs have the same length, not at the same level), you could get away with a lot by putting the offending hair in a ponytail/braid, and then tucking it underneath the upper layer by using a bobby pin.
Once the back actually looks like the shoulders, then you're more or less in the clear.
Hi ahseng!
Damn, that hair of yours is pretty much my favorite type of hair (besides CMM´s long, viking hair), and it definitely deserves to be grown to at leat mid-back length!
I know you are having trouble with your parents and you can´t do much about it because of the culture you and they have been brough up with, but try to keep focusing on the great hair you will have once you have moved on your own! Those will be good days ;)
Keep strong, and keep posting please, even if you have to keep trimming your hair :)
Hi raul!
thanks :D and yes, i also hope that i can keep on updating till my hair reach the desired length :) thanks again.
