I went to a friends wedding today and wore my hair down and loose
rather than in a pony tail.
I noticed too that even though there were a lot of women in the
church for the wedding my hair was longer than every single one
of them. None of the women had hair that even came close to being as long as mine. I got a real kick out of that..
There was one other guy with long hair but his hair was shorter than mine.

I usually have the longest hair almost anywhere I go. I can go to a street fair with 10,000 people and not see anyone with hair as long as mine. (I live in the San Francisco bay area where lots of longhairs reside.) It is knee length and ties into a tail over one meter in length.

I love your hair. Right now my hait is getting close to waist length again. In the 80s I had knee length hair and i'm now
seriously considering trying to get my hair back to that
length, if it will reach that far after all these years.
Can we get some pics? I know that I, for one, want to see you in a tux.
My prediction? Glorious!
I was wearing a suit not a tux.
I was one of the ones taking pictures so I have seen any photos
of me.
I'll be going to a friend's wedding in June. But I would rather be boiled alive than wear either a tux OR a suit.
My friend getting married is a bit "alternative" herself - and she knows what I'm like - so I'm hoping she won't be too surprised if I turn up in a slightly less conventional outfit.
BTW, the wedding is in a theatre - with the couple on stage - so it's not exactly a conventional venue anyway.

i can greatly sympathize with you on this. But having been
to lots of weddings and funerals ovef the years there are times
where you have to bit the bullet and put on a suit.
Funerals sometimes you can get away with a nice pair of jeans
but usually not at a wedding. But then i've never been to a wedding in a theater.
That having been said there has never been a wedding that could get me to cut my hair.
Not even mine.
Yeah, as much as I'd hate it I guess I would bite the bullet and wear a suit for some special occasion but I'd have to hire it. I sure don't own one.
The only funerals I have ever been to are my Dad's (when I was 15), my Mum's (also sudden) and my Grandma's. I hope I won't be going to any others for a very long time!
BTW, I totally admire your decision to wear your hair down and loose rather than in a pony tail at the wedding you went to. That's totally the way it should be. If women can wear their hair loose, why should men be expected to restrict theirs in a ponytail? Kinda ironic that your hair was longer than all the women too! Nice one!

One thing you can do rather than buying a suit is to buy a sport coat and matching pants.
AT the age of 58 i've been to a lot of funerals over the years.
Between alot of friends/relatives/co-workers i've had a lot of
funerals to attend. My wife had a large family and many of
them have died in past years.
Thank you.

Jolly good.
My previous job had more women than men, and I had the longest hair!
That has to be so cool being the one with the longest hair at an event such as that:)And you know being what it is no one is going to give you a hard time about it either but I can tell you are way beyond that at this point in your life:)Cheers
