Wanted to let you know that the people I interviewed with called me this morning and said that even though I stood out far and above the rest of the people who applied the same time I did, they chose to hire from the inside. Taking care of their own, I guess.
But, I'm encouraged. One, because they didn't have to call me AT ALL and tell me that. Most places wouldn't bother. And, two, at the interview and during this morning's phone call, they emphasized I was one of their top picks. With no mention of my hair.
I might not be seeing the whole picture clearly, but this situation tells me that I can go out and do it again. And, next time, I will get what I apply for and keep my hair, too.
Thanks for your interest,
Steve
Heya Steve,
I am sorry you didn't get the job you were applying for, but at the same time, glad to see you have drawn something positive out of it, and am sure that with that great attitude, you will net your next job interview and position! =)
Hey Steve,
That's too bad, man. Inside hiring has stymied me more times than I can count, but you've gotta keep trying. It's great that they were so courteous about it, and that you got something positive out of this experience.
Hi Steve,
First of all, I just want to say I'm digging your hair! I am also encouraged for you because nowadays it seems they hardly call you back after an interview. I do think you're seeing it clearly. And yes, next time you will get what you apply for. And keep your lovely hair. Godspeed in your job search my friend! Go get 'em!
Ted
Steve, keep the positive attitude and you'll go far. I think you're reading this one absolutely right!
Tony
Sorry you did not get the position, sounds like good folks. I like your attitude and it has been my experience that when one thing falls through, it just means something better is right around the corner.
Thanks for the update and good luck
