So I feel a bit silly posting only after 9 months but I'm pretty pleased with how it's looking so far. I had the back shortened a couple of months but other than that I've just let it do it's thing. I like that it's starting to get a little bit wavy and looking forward to seeing how it looks another 9 months later :-)
Hi raining_at_sunset,
Please don't feel silly about posting at only 9 months! Many people don't even get that far before cutting. Your is looking very nice so far and will only get better with time. But keep in mind any shortening, trimming, evening up or anything like that will only make your longhair journey take longer.
Just let it grow and enjoy the twists and turns your hair takes! I do believe your hair will be really nice at say mid-back length. Your earring is pretty cool also:) Like the username also:) Please keep it growing and welcome to the board! Great weekend to you and yours my friend!

Heya r'a's!
Well, if you are feeling silly posting a picture after only 9 months, what should I say, who have been posting a picture since the very beginning, right after my trim last November? :P
I like your progress so far, and I will be even more interested in seeing what your hair looks when longer, seeing as we have rather simmilar hair types, it seems :)
Keep on growing, great job!
Nah, it's great post updates right from the beginning!
You'll hear various opinions about trimming during the growth progress. It's pretty much universally agreed to NEVER cut the top and front but the back is different. I kept cutting the back of my hair for the first 18 months of my long hair journey. I like how it prevents a mullet-like appearance and also facilitates entering into the all-one-length look which I prefer.
You're off to a good start!
Don't feel bad about posting a 9 month pic. I've only been growing for about 4 and I put one up. Your hair is going to look awesome long! Just be careful with the trims, they make the whole process much longer. Keep growing my friend.
Hi r_a_s,
Great pic of your hair and not a problem at all when you chose to post it:)Like the others mentioned I'd be a bit careful with trimming as it will slow your progress but you'll get there eventually:)Please keep us updated and thanks for stopping in my friend.Cheers
