Wow. This boy looks really cool.
This brings back a lot of memories of when I was that age and
started growing my hair long in 1964. Of course it took a number of years to get to his length. But I still remember the
compliants I got for just having hair at Beatles length in the early days of their career.
I had lots of complaints from parents, teachers, school administrators, relatives, etc. but I continued to insist I wanted
my hair long and now 49 years later it is still long.
But for all the complaints I loved those years. I loved having long hair, i loved watching it grow, I enjoyed the feeling of
fighting the establishment on the idea that guys can have long hair. It was a time of much hassle, much resistance, but I still enjoyed the journey to grow my hair long. Which is one of the reasons I still have long hair today and will until the day I die. I battled for too many years to get to the point where I have long hair today.
I could say much the same I have had long hair since the 1964, also. Though i have to admit I have had it at shorter lengths (though still longer than what was considered "normal' cuts) through the years. I do remember, well, the trials of having "Beatle" length hair in the mid 60s. My parents accepted it so long as I kept it neat and clean. which i did. However, School admins, a few teachers and some relatives had issues. Those isuues faded over time.
Wow that kid has a great head of hair. How cool is it that his family supports that? I always cringe when I hear about families not accepting or allowing long hair. My own mother wouldn't let my dad grow out his hair though he almost go through the awkward stage once towards the end of his life before she hauled him off to the barber. On the other hand, seeing stuff like this always manages to put me in a better mood, and I really needed a mood change today.
Funny thing though, my mom was all for me growing my hair out.
How I would have given almost anything to have had his hair when I was his age. Or now.
Here's another picture of this very fortunate kid (he reminds me of Blanket Jackson).

It amazes me how thick hair can be on children. His head is smaller than mine but he has twice the hair. His hair density (hairs per square centimeter) is maybe 2.5 times what mine is. I think there was another photo of a different boy posted here with even thicker hair. I need to search the archives. I also saved the photo.

That is cool. It's amazing how thick children's hair can be. It looks like he loves it. I hope my son chooses long hair. It's already starting to get some length. He has blond curls.
Thanks for sharing the link.

For the thickest hair, check out post 277097 in the archives. This boy has the thickest hair I have ever seen.

I remember that photo. UNBELIEVABLE!!
This boy has lovely rich brown, thick hair. He is very fortunate to have parents and family members who are supportive of him. I am very happy to see this especially in today's intolerant society we seem to have. Thanks for posting this.

That is one awesome, thick ponytail, and cheers to his parents for supporting his wish to have long hair!

I subscribe to this user's photo updates. Both kids (boy & girl) have great hair! Would be fun to have the family for company.
