This is scary. Unintentional hair entanglement in zip lines can also have tragic results. I will do a search on YouTube for hair caught in zip lines.

Ugh, what a senseless tragedy! I make sure my hair is bound and out of the way when I go snowboarding. Getting it caught in a chairlift wouldn't be pleasant!
Wow, I can't even imagine supporting my body weight with only my hair.This guy's hair must have been like steel cables to withstand such abuse.Apparently he did other stunts using his hair in this manner.What a shame.

I agree with you that this is a stupid way to die. It is also very unfortunate. I can guarantee you I will not be doing anything like this! May the guy rest in Peace though. Definitely an eye-opener I must say!

This is both tragic, distubring and enraging at the same time.
Ok, so the dude was setting world records abusing his hair on a yearly basis, good for him and all... but when all them people in the audience watch him get stuck up there, then let him hang and try to pry himself loose for 45 minutes before he literally dies up there, something is seriously screwed up with the entire world record attempt.
A really silly way to go. RIP.
