Hi Mark, it's what we call here in the UK a Candy Floss - sort of spun sugar - very popular at the sea-side!
------------------
Ok got it and sounds like what we call "cotton candy" here in the US:)
Gotta watch that sugary stuff as too much is bad for your figure!llol

Wow, Ian, you were totally rocking the 60s look!! It's cool that you have had long hair at various points in your life.
We call that cotton candy on this side of the pond.
Hei Ian!
How cool is that, you having long hair just when it began symbolizing something, and such great long hair as well1 :)
Candy cotton is the term I use forthat sugar-bomb in your hand, good times! :D
Ian,
You look like a rock star! Cool photo!
peace,

Hi Ian
Those were such wonderful days for so many of us. We all grew our hair long and didn't even know about conditioner, and, it still grew and looked great!
Just think: all we knew back then was that if we wanted long hair, don't get Haircuts. I think we didn't pretty well too! :-)
With all good wishes-
Justin~
That's a real slice of life you've got there. You must have been one of those "pretty boys" my dad is always complaining about.
Hi Ian,
This is a cool pic of you back in the day! You kind of look like John Lennon! I love those sideburns! The cotton candy is tasty but can't have too much or have to see the dentist! Hope you are doing well these days my friend! I sure do miss your lovely silver long hair! Great week to you and be well!

This is the earliest picture I have found of me with long hair, taken at the age of 17, late in 1968, at a teen club featuring live local (and sometimes national) music talent. Though it isa B&W snap, I remember well that paisley print shirt. Shades of blue, and the dark indigo blue jeans with the belt buvkle to the side in "suburban Hippie' fashion.
I wish I could have been alive then. How old were you here?
I started growing my hair long in 1964, i'm 58 years old now. Even though i had lots of hassles from the school administrators,
teachers, and employers it was a great time to be alive and
have long hair. I thoroughly enjoyed even though I completley
violated all the rules when it came to the dress code.
