Hey guys !
Here are some updated photos of my hair right now. I took them a few minutes ago.
This is actually the first time that I get to see my hair from the back haha . I never knew how it looked from the back.
So let me know what you think about it. Am I still on the awkward stage? I never knew when the awkward stay finishes but I am definitely starting to grow my hair more comfortably :)
The ends get pretty wavy but thats ok to me, I actually like them .

Wow, your hair looks fantastic and in my opinion you are likely out of the awkward stages of growing long hair:)One rule of thumb is if you can do a full ponytail which I think you may be able to do at this point.The color and texture look great with it long like it is so begs the question...how long do you intend to grow your hair?Cheers my friend.

My initial goal is this :
I chose that picture because that guy's hair texture is kinda the same as mine and the lenght is the one I am looking forward right now.
Probably once I reach that goal, my next goal will be another one.
I think it's important to set ourselves progressive goals. If I would say today that my goal is waist lenght, then i would probably drive myself crazy trying to reach that lenght.
So little by little I guess.

Thanks for the excellent update pics! Of course, I don't mind how big they are! Your hair is looking just fantastic and I really like the color! Great looking hair and good progress! How many months' growth worth is that?
It seems we have rather simmilar hair type, though I think mine gets even more curl at the back, been a long while since I had it that long.
I would say one is in the so called "awkward" stage so long one feels the hair is completely uncontrollable and cannot be tamed to look "decent". Again, this is all subjective, so it's only ever going to be in the "awkwards" stage if you find it "awkward", you know?
Can you put it in a ponytail? At least a high one with some hair hanging down, I guess :)

I'm not a good reference for hair growth since my hair grows very fast in my opinion.

This is a photo of me and a friend in July 2012. That is how my hair looked by then.
And this photo is from November 2012 (4 months later)
And well, you now know how my hair currently looks like. My front bangs get to my chin and actually passes it. I think my hair grows very fast - but hey im not complaining-.
So I believe I stopped cutting my hair back in March or April 2012. I am not really sure because I never said "I am going to grow long hair ". I just let it happen.

You're blessed with some great quality hair for sure! You appear to be at the cusp of leaving the awkward stage. If all the hair won't reach a ponytail tie, you could try doing a halfup ponytail and that would work well to keep the hair out of your face. Plus, I think it's a cool look just in itself.

Thanks for your opinion and your kind comments dude! Glad to hear that I might be leaving the awkward stage haha . I am certainly more comfortable growing my hair now than when I was 5 months ago. For sure.
This is one of the looks that I've been trying . Many guys here also wear their hair like that because soccer players do hahaha
