  I have have thick, very wavy, and a bit frizzy hair (and to top it off im in the awkward stage) Just wondering the best ways to care for this type of hair to make it look its best? Best shampoos/conditioners etc.

Best shampoos/conditioners etc. I HAVE THE SAME KIND OF HAIR YOU MUST USED GEL EACH DAY... THE BEST AND ONLY IS A BRAND CALLED LAMINATES BY SEBASTIAN.. IT COST A LOT BUT IT ONLY THING THAT WORKS BEST.. I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE FIGHTING..HAVE PICTURE ...BACK VIEW.. WAVY HAIR FILE ON THE PICTURES LIST YOU KNOW HOW TO GET TO

      Im in the same bind. My very thick and wavy hair is about 5 inches on top and three in the back right now and i usually use alcohol free gel. Sometimes ill use mousse but i really dont care for a lot of hair products, the best thing for me has been to wash my hair only once every three days, so the natural oils have a chance to accumulate, and i style it back. My hair is pretty heavy and once im on the second day i can just comb it back fine, if it gets big throughout the day a well guided brush through with my hand remedies it no problem. Eventually i plan to comb the bangs behind my ears, does anyone know how this looks with this type of hair?

    Yes...GEL and FRIZZ-EASE products:
    *SECRET WEAPON when hair is dry
    *WIND DOWN to relax hair and curl
    *HAIR SERUM applied to wet hair

    But gel is usually necessary on top of any of these products.

    Can be found in most drugstores...even wal-mart

    Use a non alcoholic gel. (alcohol will dry your hair out and make it even frizzier. I use Dep level 8 with great results.
