Mr. Hair asked below for one year photos. Seeing that Im currently into hair mode, I thought Id compile a quick synopsis of my journey with 15 photos from the start in January 2004 until April 2013. These are all on my blog with more details behind them but this is an easy way to see the progression at a glance. I know I got great encouragement from guys that went before me and posted their steady progress.
There was a guy Gollan way back who had a fantastic site which really inspired me. Thanks to all who post their journeys!
Jason
It's been a long and sometimes difficult road for you but you have arrived and stayed with us. The results are little short of brilliant and an inspiration to any wavering..
Congratulations
Duncan
Hey, thanks Duncan. I've appreciated your support for the whole journey. I'd love to see how your hair is looking some time.
Wow! Nice to see the progress on your hair!
I think I am currently at your August 2005 picture and hope to be in a few months in your December 2005 or March 2006 photo !!
Nice hair my friend!
Thanks!
I thought of that August 2005 photo when I saw your recent post. Your hair looks to be right there now. You should see incredible results over the next couple of years. I look forward to seeing your progress!
Impressive documentation of your hair journey. I hope to someday present mine once I hit the nine or ten year mark like you, and hopefully i'll continue to have the commitment and determination for growing hair that you have demonstrated with your awesome compilation.
Wow I can't believe you reached waist length in 2011. I'm shooting for waist by the end of 2013(but we'll see with this slow growth of mine). Thanks for continuing to make these kinds of contributions since it really helps me want to commit to growing my hair. As usual, i'm jealous of your hair. :)
cheers,
rowie
Have you documented your journey from the beginning so far? I'd love to see the various steps along the way at some point.
I did reach my longest length in 2011 but the ends were so bad that I just couldn't keep them. I'm very much hoping I can match that in 2014 but with better ends. I'm glad my documentation can serve as further inspiration for you. Believe me, your results help me too!
Thanks,
Jason
Hi Jason,
Have to say I really love this timeline you put together documenting you longhair journey from the very beginning. It's very cool seeing it all layed out quite simply on one page and really does makes it easy to look back to see where you came from:)I would like to do the same someday but lots of my early hair pics are standard photographs that were never digitalized.Still I'd like to convert them making it easier to post in the future:)Cheers.

Hi Mark,
I've really enjoyed seeing some photos that you've posted in the past of you at various points in your hair history. Maybe you could scan some of your earlier photos and make a similar compilation. I know many of us would love to see it. You've been a longhair for much longer than I have and to see your journey all laid out like that would be epic!
Thanks,
Jason
Wow, that's amazing! I've really got to get a collage thing started, take a picture every month or something. The road we walk may lead to nowhere, but damn if it doesn't have some pretty sights along the way.
Haha, I'm not so sure about our road leading to nowhere. As a born longhair, I know my road definitely ended where I was supposed to be.
I've enjoyed seeing your progress so far. Definitely keep documenting the various steps along the way. It's fun to look back on plus can really inspire others. Happy growing and journey!
Jason
I seem to remember at one point in your journey where you had
your hair long on top but were trying to make it look like a
"normal" haircut. If anybody ever had hair that was meant to
be long it is you.
Yes, I had to do that long on top thing (long bangs) in the years up to 2004. That's when the nonsense stopped and the road really started.
Hi Jason,
Thank you for sharing your hair history over the years with your fellow hyperboard members, and this is a great set of photos.
Like you, I remember Gollan, and I was inspired by his website, right around the time I joined the hyperboard back in late 2006. He suddenly disappeared from the face of the planet, and both his website, and I assume, his long hair, are no more. Actually, I was inspired by your own website back then as well.
Take care, Jason, and enjoy the fantastic spring weather that we are getting these days.
David
Hi David,
Thanks about the compilation. Yeah, it was a mystery about Gollan. He was once a moderator here, disappeared for a long time, briefly resurfaced to say he made the mistake of getting layers put into his hair and then was gone for good. Perhaps the layers frustrated him and he cut it all off. Too bad as he had great hair and his site was put together very well.
I hope you're getting in plenty of rounds of golf!
Jason
Hi Jason,
Apologies for the late reply! This is a wonderful collage of photos of your hair growth journey! And an amazing journey it seems to have been. Your hair has gotten better and better through the years. This has definitely given me much inspiration to keep growing. And also you have reminded me why we need to keep posting update pics to inspire our new members. We all had to start somewhere! Thanks again for this awesome update and I have to visit your blog again. Take care my friend!
Ted
Thanks Ted. I hope to be one of the first to congratulate you when you have a similar history laid out for us of your journey!
Thanks again, Jason... for being one of my biggest inspirations, in wanting to grow my hair long again! Your blog is one of the very first sites I have found and bookmarked back in November, and I keep checking it out for inspiration quite often!
While I may still be in between the very first and 2nd pictures, I know the road ahead is a long and enjoyable one! :)
Thanks again!
Thanks Raul.
It won't be long before you can string a series of pictures together and enjoy noticing the tremendous changes. Onward!
