Have been wondering about something and, since I hear it discussed here on the board pretty often, I wanted to bring it up.
Have grown my hair for four years and the length better than I ever thought it would be. In front, it's about two inches below the bottom part of my chest; in back, it grazes my belt line.
By what I've said and by the picture here, how much longer do you think I can go? What would look good?
Any and all answers would be appreciated.
Steve
It's hard to tell at this point. It could be slighly longar than the length you've reached now, it could be knee lengthm, it
could be ankle nength, or it could be something between those
regions or maybe even longer. Depens on your genes.
Buy your hair looks fantastic now.
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback.
Judging by the thickness at the ends, I'd guess you are a good way from terminal...no way to find out for sure except to keep growing.
As it gets longer, you'll start to see more of the shape that your hair will take, rather than the grown out shape of your "most recent" haircut. I think hair looks good at almost any length, assuming it is taken care of.
I agree. Thanks!

Your hair looks reasonably thick right up to the ends, Steve. I think you are good for at least 6 inches more length.
Scott
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Hello Steve,
My hair is at similar length to yours and I trimmed 4 inches off a few months ago to even up the ends as they were still in layers. We both have dense heads of hair and your ends still look fairly thick. I'm guessing similar to Dr Absalom the hair scientist's august and learned opinion that your good for at least another 6 inches.
Cheers,
Duncan
Thanks, Duncan.
Hey OKCdude!
Your hair looks great! This is an example of patience and proper attention to one's mane cqn produce. After four (4) years of growth it looks like you have about two (2) feet of growth.
How much longer can you expect your hair to grow? The short answer is I don't know. It is partially determined by genetics and partially by environment and partially by the attention you pay to your hair. From the looks of your hair from your pic, I'd say you have great genes for growing your hair. If you keep doing what you've been doing up to this point I don't see why you might not expect another two (2) feet of hair growth or more. As to whether or not it will look good; that, of course is for you to decide. In my opinion, I would recommend that you go for terminal length. You would look MAJESTIC, SOVEREIGN, MYSTICAL, nothing less than AWESOME. That's my opinion.
Your long haired bro,
Raymond
Good of you to say. Thanks for the encouragement.
Hello Steve,
Your hair never ceases to amaze me! I just love the color and the length is very nice. I would think you are good for quite a bit more length judging by your ends. The ends of your hair don't show much thinning. I would just let it grow and see how the ends look. Usually if you just let your hair grow without trimming, the ends will let you know what's going on. If you see noticeable tapering or thinning, then probably you are getting close to terminal length. Some people are fortunate to have thickness all the way to the ends and can get that thickness to their knees and such. Perhaps Trolleypup can chime in here if I am incorrect.
But, back to your hair. Your hair appears to not have much thinning at the ends. Not sure how far you are going to grow it, but I don't think you should worry. Please keep it growing and flowing! Great week to you my friend!
Ted
Thanks for the encouragement, Ted. I appreciate it.
Looking super, Steve!
How much longer? Not an easy one to answer. Major factors will be your own growth/shed rate, the amount of "wear and tear" on the ends, and nutrition.
Onward and Downward!

No hurry. Sure have enjoyed getting to this point!
I think you very well may have another good 5" at least.
It looks fantastic right now and would still look fantastic with more length as long as the ends stay nice and thick.
Justin~
