Hey guys!
So my friend Sam and I, the Super Guitar Bros, played a concert of acoustic video game covers in Grand Rapids on May 4th.
We played with three other video game cover bands, Playing With Power, Arc Impulse and Bit Brigade all of which were freaking awesome!!
Anyway here's a video of our entire set. I figured this would be a good way to show how much my hair has grown. I'm the one on the right.
Enjoy!!
Hey man, great video! You guys were really jamming. Great hair as well, it looks very good. Question: We're you playing without a pick? If so, how long are your nails? They sound is very clear. I too, play acoustic guitar and keep my nails at about 1/2 inch. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Tony. And to answer your question, no I wasn't using a pick. However I have started using acrylic nails for my index finger (which I basically play like a pick). Then I grow out the nail on my thumb a bit. I'd so both the acrylic nail and the thumb nail are about 1/2 inch long - the other nails are clipped short. It works great for going back and forth between strumming, picking and finger picking.
Then you've got Sam on the left who is a classical guitarist so he grows all his nails out to 1/2 an inch or more I think. He uses acrylic nails sometimes too if one of his nails breaks. They really do work great. I was skeptical at first about gluing something on my finger but they really are great.
Wow...I've noticed a few players and I never made the connection, just thought their nails were thick and perfect looking...lol...now I know better. would love to see a few pics from you and your buddy Sam.
I know this is off topic, so if you want to reply and send a few pictures send to my eamil v4691a@yahoo.com.
Again,, awesome looking hair, I really like the thickness.
