Ok, not very much to tell, besides the fact that on the 27th, it will be 6 whole months since a pair of scissors or clippers have touched my head, and I feel it's a little milestone that needs to be celebrated! :)
Hair definitely looks different every single day, depending on what products did I use, how much gel is still in it, what sort of cap I used to restrain it with and so on.
In these pictures here, I have styled it a bit yesterday, and now it pretty much shows all my natural curl and waves, though not all the volume, since it's strategically pressed down to prevent the oh-so-flattering mop/jewfro look!
PS- trying something new here, as rowie and jason usually do, and trying to link to a few pics I have uploaded onto tinypic.com. If I screw it up, I'm sorry! ;)

It looks like you're off to a good start! So far, at least from what I can tell from the photos, it doesn't look too unruly so far. You've got some nice waves going, so the next six months should be interesting. ;-)
Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Hi Dale!
The funny thing is, that I am only now realizing that I am soon to be entering the awkward stage! :D While my hair has been rather ruly until now with heavy use of extra-strong-hold gel and some beanies and ballcaps, now the curls are starting to get outta' hand, and grow all over the place.
As you are saying, the next 6 months will be fun! And that 1 year anniversary will be huge for me, seeing as I haven't gone without haircuts for a year, since... 2008 or so :)
Thank you!
Your hair is looking good man. I can relate to how your hair looks different everyday. I had about 10 days of awesome looking hair, and the last 10 days have been less than spectacular. Luckily with my job I'm currently hidden from the public and will continue to be for another 10. All part of the fun in my opinion.
I'm only a month behind you. It's going to be fun comparing progress. I really like the comparison pic of your last haircut and now. I would keep doing that and just keep updating the now picture. Anyways, good luck and happy growing.
Heya Siege!
Thanks bro, I will definitely take your advice and do that with the comparison pics! And it will be fun comparing our growth as well, though I am 100% sure your hair will always seems longer, since it will, you know.. actually be growing downwards right away :D
The comparison shots are great! They really show how much progress you've already made. I personally like the waves. You already have thick hair but combined with the added body of the waves, your mane will be so voluminous in a good way as it gains length.
Onward!
Thanks, Jason!
I was rather inspired not only by your hair, but also the time and effort you've been putting in your blogg and updates here on the MLHH, so I decided to brush up on my old Photoshop skills, hehe.
Not sure I am as crazy about the thickness as you are, but as far as I can recall, once I get some decent length, it looks rather ok on the top, with only the bottom having really over the top volume.
Not a good picture, but the best shot of the length I achieved that I have.
Holy cow, who is that!?
Seriously though, I just cannot get over how much a thing as simple as hair can completely change a person's look. I also love when guys who have never had long hair in their entire life tell me that they don't look good with long hair. I just picture them in a wiggery (is that the term for a wig shop?) trying on different kinds of long hair styles.
"Let's see the Rapunzel." *wig* "No, that doesn't work..."
"Okay, how about the Ozzy Osbourne." *wig* "Nope..."
"Maybe the Robert Plant." *wig* "DAMN IT! I just don't look good with long hair!"
And thus, they are doomed to a sad, hairless existence.
Totally agree with you, Benjamin... it's all about discovering your inned long hair, and seeing if it fits your personality and who and what YOU want to show to the world.
I have been a long hair before, as you can tell, and I do know what I am walking towards, thankfully! Not everybody is as lucky, and that is exactly why growing out your hair as a man is such a huge challenge and accomplishment, once one has "gotten there", and something I look up to and wish to recreate within myslef :)
Hello Raul,
Thanks for a wonderful update buddy! Your hair is coming along very nice! I love the rich color and the nice waves you have! I do believe your hair is going to look absolutely wonderful when it gets longer! The moppy look will probably go away with more length. Not to worry.
Enjoy the journey and all the different looks your hair does! Please keep us updated! Have a wonderful rest of the week my friend!
Ted
Thanks for the kind and warm comments, Ted!
Guess we mopheads have to support eachother and stand together in our front of moppiness, when we see all these fine haired dudes here with the godly rockstar manes! hehe :D
Congrats, Raul!
Your hair is looking longer every time I see it, so that means it's looking better as well! Six months is a milestone, pretty soon you'll be eating your hair. Accidentally, of course.
By the way, that's some fancy picture work there.
Heya Septet!
Thanks bro, can't wait to be able to "eat my hair", that is definitely a milestone as well, as far as I can remember :)
Yeah, thank Jason and his mad obsession with his hair for me putting a good 1/2 into the pics and editing, hehe... fun stuff :)
