Hey All,
Here's my two month progress pic. It's starting to get long on top and bushy on the sides. I wasn't tempted to cut it this month because I'm keeping my long hair goal in mind, plus it hasn't been too unruly.
..and let the awkward stage begin.
Hi Kris,
Thanks for the excellent update! I really like the color of your hair. Be prepared for the bushiness and unruliness! I have been growing a little longer than you, but I still have to deal with those things. It's just part of the fun! Your hair will look awesome when it gets longer.
Please don't give in to temptation because good things come to those who wait! I will be waiting anxiously for your next update. Hope you have a wonderful week my friend!
Ted
Hey Ted,
Thanks for your feedback. I think that we have similar hair texture from the looks of your pictures. How long have you been growing yours?
Last time I grew my hair out, I used food grade diatomaceous Earth in order to prevent shedding, as well as to help speed the growth rate. Although I can't say that I lost less hair on the DE, because that was the first time I ever grew my hair to significant length, I can say that I experienced what felt like a series of prolonged resting phases for my hair...the opposite of what I was seeking from the DE. I got the idea of taking DE from the Long Hair Community message board, and after some research, I decided to get some and give it a shot. I still have quite a bit left over, but I don't think I'm going to take that route this time.
Have you ever tried this product?
Kris
Hi Kris,
I think your hair might be a little more curly than mine. But I think the thickness and coarseness is the same. I have been growing from a number 4 haircut since about August. I wish I had taken more pics of my past progress. You can see further down the board a pic of my hair when it was your length.
I have never used D.E. I haven't noticed any real problems with shedding etc. I try to keep my routine simple. Seems like the more you add in things get confusing.
