Here is a photo of my hair from the Memorial Day Ceremony at
our local National Cemetary.
It's a ceremony that occurs annually at our National Cemetary to
honor those who died in past wars. We are there to honor those
from the civil war especially.
It is estimated 750,000 of our boys in blue died in the civil war.
Hopefully this photo will come out correctly.

Thank you. i didn't take the photo, so i can't be too picky about it.
I would mention in regards to the uniform, as they phrased it at the time of the civil war, "uniforms came in two sizes, too big or too small." But then this was 150 years ago.
I just wish that more people would realize that Memorial Day
was about more than just cook outs, going to the beach, etc.
Maybe its the distance but somehow you look considerably different
in this photo than the close up photo of you in uniform that you
posted awhile back.
I also think that this is a very important thing that you are
doing. Please keep doing it!
Yeah it is the distance. The one i posted a while back was taken
with my iphone using facetime on the iphone and the iphone was about a foot away. This photo was taken considerably further away.

Nice pic of you in uniform and in hair LHIA :) Seems like a rare update pic so we'll take what we can get.lol.I'm sure doing what you do for the Vets is very fulfilling so I salute you for that my friend.Cheers

I've posted so few pictures since at a growth rate of 1/2" per month it's taking forever to get back to waist length.
I've gotten more length but it's not near where I'd like it to be yet. (That was waist length but now i'm seriously considering trying again for the length i had in the 80s. That is what inspiration from this site will do.)

Thank you. This photo was taken on a bright sunny day unike the avatar photo which was in room light with the flash.
I fully intend to keep my long hair long and in it's natural color. If that means all gray, all silver, or all white then so be it. It will be long and its' natural color.

Hurrah for the Union!
As I look at this photo I should probably stop staying that my hair
color is black. At this point, at the age of 58, the color really should be considered grey. I should proabably update my
avatar photo. (Anyone know how to do that?)
I fully earned all that grey hair every time someone told me I needed a haircut. I fully intend to avoid getting a hair cut, I also fully intend to keep the hair long, it's natural color (be it grey, white or silver)
