I passed my 8-year anniversary on May 26 and decided it was about time to do a pic. Although the growth has slowed some now, I think I have a few more inches to go.
Very awesome! I can only hope to achieve that kind of length. Keep it up!

All I can say is wow! Your hair looks so much longer than your avatar pic! I must say I absolutely love the color of your hair! Man I tell you, I would be very happy with my hair at that length! Hopefully you do have more length ahead. It looks like it since your ends show no sign of taper or thinning. Please keep it growing and flowing! Actual length is difficult to determine. Yours is almost knee length, mine is knee length. If you are quite a bit taller than me, it makes your hair appear shorter than mine. I am 5'9" tall. If you are maybe 6'3" tall, your hair would look shorter at the same length as mine.
Again, your hair is much thicker than average and it looks good for a lot more length. Also, Trolleypup has hair that is now longer than mine. I am 60 years old, so I am probably not going to get any more length.

I change out my facial hair every year or so. Currently I'm wearing a tailback goatee.
As I scrolled your picture down, I found myself wondering just how far it would go. I was not disappointed to see that it was clear past your tailbone. This right here is the kind of length I'm looking forward to. Looking forward to passing, that is!
All joking aside, that is quite impressive. I'm so jealous that I'd be green with envy if I wasn't already red with sunburns.
By the by, do you use henna? I noticed your hair in your profile pic is black and gray, whilst it's red this picture.
My profile pic is from several years ago from before my tragic haircut in 2005. As a kid, my hair was so black it looked purple. As a my hair has continued to gray, the black hair has lightened to a reddish-brown. I suspect some of that is sun bleaching over the 8 years of growing. I jokingly refer to my hair color as "salt and cinnamon"

Re. my own mane, it reached terminal length a year or more ago -- I should do an update pic soon, covering more details about it when I do. But "the long & the short of it" is: my terminal length is definitely shorter than your hair right now (mine only reaches a couple inches past my belt / AKA "tickles the top of my butt!"). Try as I have to grow it longer, it just won't...

There is one very important thing to learn once you hair reaches butt length: always know where your hair is when you sit down on the toilet, and where it is when you stand up again!!!
Actually, I live about 80 miles south of Atlanta in Macon. I live in the outskirts; the country. After 24 years living in Chicago it sure is quiet out here!
What an exceptionally fantastic and beautiful mane. Very impressive. I'm sure you make a lot of folks extremely envious. Eight years may seem a long time, especially for the younger crowd, but you're proof of what someone can accomplish if they just keep with it. Thanks for posting.

I think your hair is so cool and it will take me forever (at the moment) to get my hair the length I want it to. (I've had short hair most of my childhood and some of my adult life and it makes me feel suppressed.) There is a man in an Australian metal band called "Eyefear", and his hair is down to his ankles. How long are you expecting it to grow. Do you have a current photo of you with your hair in front of you? If so, can you post a shot? Thank you.
