Happy Friday all! I've still been trying different styles during my awkward stage for work, and decided to rock the Al Pacino today...
Earlier this week I tried slicking back the middle only and leaving the sides clean and loose. Either way I'm still enjoying my hair, just trying to find the right look for the next 9-12 months until it gets longer!
Hello Tommy,
My apologies for the late reply! I hope you had a Happy Friday! My friday was just another day at the dialysis clinic unfortunately. At least I don't have to spend my Saturday there.
You definitely look like Al pacino! And this look is great for you while your hair is still short. I do believe your hair is going to look just great when it gets longer. I love the color and straightness of your hair. I will be looking forward to your future updates. Hope you have a great weekend my friend!
This may be a preview of you with long hair. Hehe.
Ted
Thanks Ted. Sorry to hear you had to spend the day there...are you or someone close to you getting treatments? I can't imagine you being at a place like that as your always so cheerful and pleasant. I have a client (I am an IT consultant) that runs several of these clinics, and every-time I've been there the people seem so irritable, mean and depressed.
Hi Tommy,
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I am the one who is on dialysis. I was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease a few years ago. I was started on dialysis almost 2 years ago. It really isn't as bad as it seems. It's mainly boring. I have to be on the machine for 4 hours each treatment. Drives me crazy even though I take the laptop and have TV and radio.
I miss working everyday. I had just graduated from MCSA school when I started having problems. So I never got to use my skills as a system administrator. I am hoping to go back to work some day. Hopefully I can get a transplant soon.
You are correct about the people being mean and such. A lot of the patients have other problems which make it worse. However, I refuse to let the disease own me. I own the disease. Thankfully I am not in a wheelchair and can walk on my own. I am only 46 years old. As far as I'm concerned, my life is far from over. Heck, I'm having fun growing my hair out. And besides that, my life is what I make it-not anybody else.
Ted
Ted, I love your attitude. Rock on, dude!

Hello Damon,
Much appreciation for your very nice words! I never thought in my wildest dreams I would have kidney disease. It has had ups and downs I must say. But right now I am doing pretty good. And I don't blame anything for my health problems. I just keep rolling with the punches. Heck I'm having a blast growing my hair. If I was working I might be having to deal with some naysayers. However when I do go back to work I plan to keep my long hair. My life is far from over my friend! Hope you have a great weekend! Keep on rockin'!
Ted
The great thing about working in IT is you can do a majority of the work anywhere you are! I'm sure you'll be able to find a job when you get your health under control! Love the attitude Ted, I'll keep you in my prayers.
Thanks a bunch for the prayers! I really appreciate your concern! I am ready to get back to work. My apologies for the late reply!
