So sorry I haven't had time to visit lately and reply to other posts. Here's a quick update pic of me taken a few days ago.
Still only shoulder-length but it is getting longer! My hair always goes a lighter shade of brown in the summer even though I tend to avoid the sun.
Damon
Me walking down the road with a mate later that day (I'm in the red T-shirt). Yes, my friends tend to have long hair too!
No idea why we look so fat in that pic. We're both built like stick-insects in real life!
Mad coz his shoulder-bag is even cooler than mine! :)

Hey Damon,
Glad to see your hair is making a comeback since your little mishap
last year.Thankfully hair can be very forgiving as even though we can abuse
it there is always more where that came from my friend ;) Your friend looks
to have about the same length as you from what I can tell in this pic.Don't worry
I knew who was who just by looking at the fit of your jeans.lol.Why the camera plays the fat trick is beyond me though.I feel I get the same treatment no matter how skinny the jeans are! Cheers my friend.

His hair is a little bit shorter than mine - and an indiscriminate colour. He keeps dying it different colours - lime green a few months ago and most recently electric blue. Then it sorta fades to a weird colour and he ends up having to chop it all off and starting again! :)
I hate him at the mo coz he's going to the Download Festival next w/end and I'm not! He gets to see all my favourite bands. It's just not fair! Grrrrrr!
Yeah, it was my g/friend's camera. It does that all the time. Distorted lens or something. I look fine in pics on other cameras.
Mind you, even worse is the "ugly trick" that cameras play. I look gorgeous in real life! :)

Man, you are getting your hair back!!! In the future avoid
scissors like the plague. Those are totally skinny jeans! What
brand are they?
I find that people's idea of what are "skinny jeans" varies a lot. For instance, the average American idea of what skinny jeans are seems to be totally different to what we Europeans regard as skinny jeans. I look at most American ads for skinny jeans and I'm gobsmacked: I think those are NOT skinny jeans!!! They're just straight legs that's all - and relatively baggy.
Here in the UK, skinny jeans are SKINNY. They're skin-tight - with elastane (lycra) in them so they stretch. I'm nearly 6'2" with a 28"/30" waist (varies from brand to brand) so I think they look fairly good on me though I want to lose a bit more weight - down to 26" waist again. The ones in the pic are River Island (chain store in the UK) and dark blue but I normally wear black skinnies.
Here's another pic of me in them taken a week or so ago. I'd NEVER have fit into that kiddie's machine in normal jeans! :)

Pic of me in the PVC skinny jeans I bought last year. These are the Phaze brand though they're not really what I would strictly call skinny - since they're not quite skintight. In fact, these have got slightly baggy after a few wears and I'm looking for a new skinnier pair now.

Hi Damon,
I have been reading you and Mark talking about the skinny jeans. Very interesting. I could never even fit in that kid's machine even with skinny jeans on! Heck, I couldn't even fit into skinny jeans! I will leave that to you and Mark! I prefer looser fitting oversized clothing. Great pic of you though!
Ted
That's why I asked you the brand of yours. It's hard to find
skin tight ones here. Thanks!! I'll have to see if River Island
does any online selling. Your PVC skinnies still look pretty
cool though. I also don't think you need to get down to a 26"
waist. You need SOME meat on your bones!
River Island do sell internationally online. I included the link below my post. I've put it again below this one. Click top left on that site to set your location to United States.
Shipping might be expensive though.
Yeah, 26" waist is probably too thin for me. I'm happy with 28" really.

Sorry about that, damn iPhone!lol. See message above:)
Hey Damon,
Hmmmm, think we had a conversation about skinny jeans in the past here
but always a favorite subject of mine:) I have been a jeans fanatic dating back
to my teen years. My collection is very extensive as I still have pairs that date back to the 1980s all the way up to present day.And yes, they all still fit me since I've managed not to gain weight over the decades since:) My rule about jeans is that they must "form fit" as otherwise I'd just buy the crap they sell in Walmart!lol. My early jeans are not low rise but my modern day ones are and I know exactly where to go for skinny jeans, true skinny jeans.Thankfully I have NYC at my disposal because I get them there as well as online. My best pairs are Diors which are very expensive but are very premium.Still I've gotten great skinnies at much cheaper prices and if your not afraid to shop the women's side you'll do well there.I'm very much like you, tall and thin and long legged which makes buying jeans more of a challenge.I could go on and on but am straying off topic a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if my jean collection is in excess of 50 pairs but I've never counted so don't know.I guess after long hair, tight jeans are my other favorite subject:) Cheers my friend!

I have exactly zero pairs of skinny jeans. I could have worn
them many years ago but not now. Back in the 70s and early 80s
my weight was about 110 pounds. That would have been perfect for skinny jeans. Now my weight is in the 160 pound neighborhood so skinny jeans are not a goof fit for me.
And at my height 110 pounds would not be a healthy weight.
So don't for see my self being able to wear skinny jeans.
Now back in the 70s I had jeans that were skin tight, I don't recall that they had "skinny" jeans at the time. Or if they
did they weren't available around here.
Now I do have a number of pairs of jeans that are the complete
opposite of skinny jeans......JNCO wide leg jeans.
Well to put what you said in perspective I currently am close to that weight range you mentioned but being 6 - 3 it doesn't show. You can also buy skinny jeans in various waist sizes so its not like you have to wear a size 28.Of course once your waist reaches a certain size maybe wearing skinny jeans isn't a good idea. Also its a matter of preference as some people don't like tight clothes but I love the feel of tight jeans:)Cheers

Right now my waist size is a 38 and I don't like the way skinny jeans look on me. They would have fit me perfectly back in the 70s but not today. Doing excercize hasn't changed that for me.
The fact remains too that at the age of 58 i'm not 110 pounds anymore. And getting down to 110 pounds at my height would
not be healthy.
When your legs get larger, the pant legs need to be looser because larger legs require more slack in the cloth when you bend your knees. Thus, when your frame fills out, as does happen with many teens as they move into their twenties or beyond, skinny jeans no longer work for you.
I could not diet to have skinny legs, because the bones in my legs, including my kneecaps are too large. A guy like me is not going to fit into skinny jeans, and if I could barely fit into a pair, I couldn't walk fast or sit down in them. Being physically active is a top priority for most guys, and they aren't going to let fashion get in the way with that. We say the same thing often on this board when it comes to dealing with our long hair.
Bill
Hi Damon,
Those shoulder bags are cool. But I must say Oren is correct here. Where are you guys walking towards? I am always wondering things like that when I see pics like this. Thanks for posting this pic.
Ted
Looking great Damon! No shoulder bag is going to out-cool you.

Thanks, Oren! :)

Hi Damon,
This is a wonderful update of you and your hair! It looks great and will look even better with more length! Just have to be patient and let it do it's thing. That is cool how your hair gets lighter in the Summer. Love the Canada shirt too! Keep it growing my friend please!
