Hi to friends old and new - just a greeting to mark the 19th anniversary of my last trim on 24 June 1994.
As I have observed before, I can't offer anything spectacular in terms of length, but I am still enjoying the journey as much as ever.
Good luck and happy growing to you all.
February 9, 1964 is when I started growing my hair long,
so this coming February will be my 50th anniversary as
a long hair. It's been a long, sometimes difficult journey
(especially when I was in school) but I wouldn't change
a thing. I've loved every minute of being a long hair and will keep it long until the day I die.
Same here! I first started my journey about 50 years ago when I grew my fringe (bangs) to my chin at the age of 8. Health willing, I hope for many more years of being a longhair, both for myself and all who want to enjoy that journey.
Happy Anniversary !!
And Thank You for being such a inspiration for the members of this board. I love your message of "enjoying the journey"
When I made my first post on the MLHH, inquiring if an "older" guy should try longhair.......YOU were the one who responded with enthusiasm and encouragement.
I am also enjoying the journey.
Thanks Again and Keep Well my friend

Hi!
Thank you for your good wishes - very much appreciated. And always happy to encourage others on an enjoyable journey.
Hi bte,
Congratulations on 19 years since your last trim! That's quite a long time! What length is your hair now? I am happy to hear you are enjoying your journey! It can certainly be an interesting as well as fun journey that's for sure!
Thanks a bunch for checking in and please don't be a stranger! Hope you have a great week my friend!
Ted
Length - only APL. My only regret is not having grown longer in my 20s when I could have achieved so much more.
So my advice is - start the journey as young as you can, but don't give up, and if you miss the trip first oir even second or third time round, it's never too late to grow.
Well, at least you are growing it as far as you can. Your advice is good-and I take it willingly.

Wow, 19 years‽ That's just amazing! Congratulations on hitting such a great milestone. I'll see you there in about... 18 years.
Thanks! Good luck with your journey and remember that the journey of 19 years begins with a single year, as the Chinese didn't say.
That's awesome news, bte, a big CONGRATS to you!!!!!
I just had my 13th anniversary of my depressing Y2K haircut myself, which happened literally on the first day of summer, June of 2000. I had long hair of course before that fateful day (first ever ponytail being on my 40th birthday, 1993, in July); but the good news about that horrible Y2K haircut was that I learned the hard way the importance of making a commitment to myself to never again impulsively cut off my long hair like that -- and my commitment to long hair has remained 13 years strong & true, even as we speak!
Always good to hear from you, and always great to know that there are other like-minded longhaired older dudes like us around (LOL)....
"Onward & Downward!" (or, as in probably both of our cases being terminal length: "Onward & Onward!" - LOL)!!

Good to hear from you and thanks for posting!
Always good to know that there are other not so young guys out there - onward and onward as you say, even if downward is but a dream!
Yes at the ripe old age of 58 i'm very much not so young. In fact i'm now approaching the age where i'm older than dirt.
