I haven't posted a current image of my hair in ages. Here is a current image. My hair is still knee length. (It looks shorter from being pulled from back to front.)
Scott
Wow. That is really impressive Scott and I LOVE the braid! :-)
Wishing you a great weekend.
Justin~
--------------
Thank you, Justin. My hair is actually in a segmented tail with rainbow hair ties. (The photo does not show that well.)
I hope this year will bring good health and healing to you.
Scott
Your hair and beard are looking great.
That is a unique tree. Would it be about 500 years old?
----------------------
It is a Bay tree and my guestimate is between 200 and 300 years old. (I am unable to find any age references from a web search.)
Scott
Hi Scott,
This is a great photo of you, and both your hair and beard look awesome. I like the colour as well.
By the way, I love that tree that you have in your photo, and I have to wonder both at how old it is and what kind of tree it is.
Thank you for sharing,
David
Thanks, David. I hope your day is going well.
That is a Bay Laurel tree. It is likely between 200 and 300 years old. They can live for up to 500 years.
Scott,
Your hair looks fantastic! Awesome length and color!
peace,

Thanks, Jonalbear.

Is it safe to say that was at one time two trees that have merged into one tree over the years? Or is it still two trees that happen to be very close together?
------------------
It is one very old Bay Laurel tree. My age estimate is 200 to 300 years old. The tree even has a tunnel through the base. (See image)
Scott
I think I've seen a picture of this tree on this board before.
I think when some of you all met up.
-----------------------------
Yes, you have. This is from September 2012.
Scott
This tree is evidently along a hiking trail somewhere?
-------------------
Tilden Park near Berkeley CA.
Hi Scott,
You are looking great with your wonderful long hair standing in that majestic tree! I have always been very much inspired by your hair although I probably could never achieve such length. I can't even imagine how good your hair looks when worn loose and down! Wonderful pic update and I thank you for it!
Hope you're having a great weekend my friend! Stay well!
Ted
P.S. My Grandparents had a Live Oak on their property with a circumference of roughly 16 feet. They had it checked one time by experts who estimated the age at ~1000 years old.
--------------------------------------
I can't wear my hair loose, Ted. It tangles badly and gets caught in things.
The tree in the photo I took is likely between 200 and 300 years old. Bay Laurel trees (really big ones) can live to be 500 years old.
Scott
Hi Scott,
That is truly a shame. Your hair would look fantastic loose! Perhaps you can dig up a pic of your hair loose and down? Now that would be cool!
The Bay Laurel tree is really nice. I am always dismayed when developers take down majestic trees for another project.

Scott
How great to see you !! What a wonderful update...You, your hair and your beard are looking fantastic.
Thanks for sharing and keep well my friend
Walter

Thanks, Walter. Do be careful with the dangerous heat. {I know you live in a desert region.}
Scott
Scott, your mane continues to inspire! You're keeping a nice length as you get older. My terminal length is probably only mid-back by now, though I keep it a bit shorter than that. I'm trying to compensate with the goatee:)
-------------------
So far, I have kept it at knee length. I am now taking a lot of hair vitamins and supplements to keep it from shrinking. This is to counter the shedding caused from the warfarin. I am currently seeking a totally natural replacement. Most medications have natural replacements.
Scott
An inspiration to us all.
And that tree has certainly done some growing....
------------
I try to inspire. I wish my hair was thicker.
That is my favorite tree. it is likely between 200 and 300 years old.
Scott
Wow. Excellent pics. I love the length. Thanks for sharing. Very inspirational.
-----------------------
Thanks. I just wish it was thicker.
Scott
Truly amazing hair, Scott. Also, that's quite a tree you've found to stand on.
----------------
Thanks. The tree is along a hiking trail and is my favorite of all.
Scott
I just love this photo, Scott -- I also just replied to your loose hair pic, above; so will keep it brief here...
We need to get together for more outdoor pics, maybe when Mark Hairball comes out West again in September? I've always enjoyed it when you and Bill & Larry and I have gotten together in the past whenever Mark comes out to the Bay Area, I especially enjoyed our little hike through Point Reyes Nat'l Park whenever that was, let's do something like that again!!

I fully agree, Ken. I hope you can make it to the longhair party again. It was great seeing you last year. It is on the last Saturday of September. I go every year.
A longhair meetup seems like a good idea too. I also want to do a very strenuous hike with Mark. (We did one last year in Tilden park.) The Cataract trail in Marin County would be a good choice for this. It has hundreds of steps and the trail is steep.
