OK - I just found this site - I've been searching pictures and websites about men with long hair - so, here I am. I've always wanted to grow my hair long, but always chicken out or cave to society pressure. Guys, at age 57 - it's now or never... I last cut my hair for my son's wedding in December... The picture here is how I looked in December. I haven't cut it since and it is coming along nicely, but is at that point where people are beginning to make comments... I am determined to keep with this. Even when I was a kid in the late 60s/early 70s, I never grew it out much longer than it is right now - so feeling like victory is in sight.
Hi fitzgarce,
I am not seeing a photo here. Did you forget to add it to your post? Welcome to the board and you will find a lot of inspiration here!

My picture was the wrong size to post so it was declined.
Doesn't matter at this point.
You guys, I have always been an obedient person, bowing to the norms of society, so I've always had hair cuts - sometimes longish boy cuts, and a few times cut real short - but this is the first time I've gone this long - over 6 months now - without a hair cut. I always wanted to grow my hair long, but never did it - what I mean by now or never is - If not now, when?
Hi fitzgarce,
I would love to see you grow out that beautiful hair you have. I believe you would have fun and really like the result! Hope you let it grow and grow. I lokk forward to your future updates!
Ted
Not seeing the pic either so best to try again:)Cheers
At 57 it's now or never? Not necessarily. My hair is long and it will remain long until the day I die. (My family has no history of hair loss (MPB). So you may be able to continue growing your hair for many more years depending on your heredity.
I'm 58 now, I vowed many years ago to not cut my hair for anyones wedding. Not even my own. So every wedding I go to my hair remains long and is almost always loose. If it's windy/storming i'll tie it in a pony tail/braid/pig tail/etc.
but I much prefer having it loose. But again I won't cut it for anyones wedding.
I started growing my hair in 1964 and never stopped. And the more school administrators/teachers/employers/etc. bugged me to
cut my hair the more I was determined to keep it long.
As far as comments go I ignore them. I got plenty of them when I staarted growing my hair in 1964, continued to get them for
many years, finally when I hit the age 45 the comments stopped
and people got the idea my hair was staying long.
