Mark,
So that's what a henna treatment looks and feels like? Will have to try it some time! lol! Happy 4th of July to you as well!
peace,
jonalbear
Hi John and happy 4th to you and yours:) Oh yes, after that first henna treatment I was ready to set off some fireworks!LOL.Definately deserved a celebration and still lovin' it my friend.Cheers

Happy 4th of July.
I would remind people to be careful around fireworks.
I would mention that back in the 70's I singed by eye brows
while lighting a gas stove. Luckily my hair was in a pony tail
at the time so it was not damaged.
I won't be at the fireworks tonight, I did that back in college
when I was at our local fireworks with 6 million of my closest
friends (it was 1976 which is why there were 6 million folks.)
I tend to avoid huge crowds now and to stay inside where it is cool and not 90 degrees with a dew point of 73.
Hmmmm, yea hear ya about the 90 degrees and humidity.Might go out for a walk right now before it really heats up but the local conditions are less than stellar:( LOL. Have a great 4th just the same my friend:)Cheers

A great fourth of July to you too.
I am not American nor live in the USA, but I wish a Happy Independence Day to all my American hyperboard friends :)
Thank you my friend:)
Mârk
Thank you very much.
Hi everyone,
I would also like to wish a Happy and safe Independence Day to all observers. Thanks for those wonderful fireworks Mark! Awesome!
Ted
Hi Ted,
Thank you for the reply and hope you are enjoying a fine 4th my friend:)
Those were very nice fireworks that evening in Tempe:)Can't believe how fast
the years flew by since being there. In spite of the heat Inloves seeing Arizona and wouldn't mine doing it again:) Cheers

Nice photo Mark! This looks like the annual fireworks display at Tempe Town Lake, located only a few miles from my house. And yes, we reached 119 degrees (48 C) a few days ago.
Yes, yes that was Tempe where I saw those back in 2007. In fact I recall there
was a whole carnival like atmosphere going on and an outdoor stage for a band
to perform on after the fireworks:) Even at night it was still quite hot but bearable with the sun finally down. Cheers

Happy 4th of July. As i've done for a number of years now
i'm going to celebrate the fourth of July by declaring my
independence from the barber shop, hair cutters, and short hair.
My hair has been long for 49 years now and it will remain long until the day I die.
Hey that's the spirit my friend as I totally agree with you sentiment:)A nice thought for us independant thinkers on Independence Day! Cheers

Oh yes! I love the smell of gunpowder in the evening. Thanks
for the fireworks display and a happy and safe Fourth to you.
Hey MG,
Yea that smell and summer just seem to go together:)It's cool hearing to amateurs popping off their wares off in the distance too.Sadly the 4th is the springboard to Labor Day which sadly ends the summer for some even though September has glorious weather.Cheers

I didn't shoot off any fireworks, I had to work yesterday and I was so tired that I went to sleep. I did watch a great American movie starring Jeff Goldblum where aliens land on Earth.
I am of course talking about the American classic: Earth Girls Are Easy.
Well the main thing is you celebrated in your own way but going to work doesn't sound like much fun.Hopefully you received the holiday rate;)Cheers

Hi Mark,
My apologies for being late to reply, but I would like to extend my belated July 4th greetings to you and to all of my American friends. We had our "Canada Day" celebration son Monday, the 1st.
It is seriously hot today (near 90, and with the humidity, feels like 104), and I had to pack it in after 9 holes on the golf course, since I nearly died out there. On the way home, I dropped in to my local passport office to renew that document for 10 years, since I hope to get down to the grand old USA again in the not too distant future, possibly as early as next spring.
Take care,
David
Hi David,
No biggie about the later reply as I understand:) Yes I did hear something about "Canada Day" which I'm not exactly sure what that is.Well I know a Google search will solve the mystery I'm sure!lol.
It's been very hot here too which is to be expected for being in the thick of summer.Hopefully we get a cool down that lasts awhile soon as that would be welcomed:)Oh,and that would be great should you come south of the border again. Not sure what your travel goals would be but it would be nice to hook up for another meet up:)Anyway hope your enjoying your weekend my friend and at least try and stay cool...Cheers

Saw a really great fireworks display.
My wife suggested (joking, I think) that I should wear my Who T-shirt with the Union Jack on it. Of course, I called her bluff and actually wore it. The only comment I got was from a longish haired teenager who told me my shirt was awesome (Who fan? I didn't ask).
I was prepared for some sort of reaction to the shirt, but it never came. I was planning to say that someone had to represent Her Majesty's government and get the rebels to swear allegiance to the crown (LOL!) but I never had to.
Oh, and yes, most of the regulars know this, but yes I am a Brit. One of these days you guys will see sense and be singing God Save the Queen (LOL!).
Sounds like you had great time seeing the fireworks as I just settled for watching what the locals set off across the street from me in the city park! LOL.It was funny after they left and around a half hour later the fire trucks showed up looking around with search lights.Sorry guys but your a little late and the ground is so wet anyway from the rains I don't think anything would burn.lol. Cheers my friend.

----------------------
I usually stay at home. There are a lot of crazies shooting off illegal fireworks, and I want to be sure my house is safe.
Also, gunpowder contains 10% sulfur, which causes my airways to constrict when burned. Highway flares are a real problem when walking by or riding by on my bike. They also contain sulfur.
Scott
Hi Scott,
Oh I had the locals shooting off rockets just across the street from me which must have caught someones attention since the fire trucks showed up afterwards.Frankly we've had so much rain lately there was no way any brush would have caught on fire but still there is always the possibility.Glad you had a safe, quiet fourth as I did the same my friend:)Cheers
