Hi everybody,
I just thought I would share this new milestone with you all. Normally I get out of the shower and leave my hair as wet as possible. I don't like to rub it much with the towel.
Well, this morning I noticed something. When I went to shave, I noticed my hair would stay behind my shoulders really nice. I like this because it keeps my hair from getting shaving cream in it. This must mean my hair is getting longer. That's a good thing! Making progress and loving it!
Thanks for reading and good day to you all!
Ted
Hey Ted!
I don't know if I would consider this a milestone, but a reason for a new update, nonetheless. It's always great when the progress is showing.
Hi Michail,
Yes, not really an update, but since I shave frequently this is nice. You are correct, it is nice when progress is evident.
Ted
Hi Ted
Yes indeed, this IS one of the major milestones. Congratulations. The next really big milestone (Other than the 1st Ponytail) is when the hair at long last clears the shoulders and is free to drop on its own. At that point you are really quite in the drivers seat at long last! :-)

Hi Justin,
I appreciate the congrats! I just noticed that this morning. I was able to comb my wet hair over both shoulders and it stayed there. It was cool. Finally the sides of my hair towards the front is getting longer. Plus, it's starting to get in my eyes more often-a great thing! I can't wait until all of my hair falls behind the shoulders because I like that look. Slowly but surely I am getting there!

If the hair gets annoying getting into your eyes all the time at this stage, the use of pins to hold it out of the way works great. (That was my 1st choice.) Otherwise of course a Bandana will do the trick and I suppose a goodly supply of gel (or wearing a hat.........something I could never stand) can and will help out alot. Have fun! :-)
Justin~
Hi Justin,
I only use a baseball cap to restrain my hair right now. I try to never use gels or other leave in products in my hair. I am hoping when my hair gets longer it will be somewhat heavier and will not need so much restraint. I am planning to wear my hair loose at least 99% of the time. But yes, I am having much fun on the journey!

I've tried bobby pins a few times but they always seem to fall out after 10-15 minutes...I suppose its entirely possible I'm not putting them in correctly!
Congrats Ted!
I was contemplating a min-milestone of my own and you beat me to it!

Hi Tommy,
I am so sorry man! We must be thinking the same thoughts! I really appreciate the congrats! I must say, your hair is looking very good! I am definitely happy to hear you have hit this milestone! One of these days we are going to be swishing our beautiful hair around! Keep it growing!
Ted
Hi Ted,
That is indeed a good milestone! All of these seemingly "little things" that we notice along our individual journeys of becoming a longhair probably sound a bit strange to the average short-haired guy; but to those of us who have been there and remember well the excitement of first growing our hair out, these are definitely events worth noticing and commenting about!
To my way of thinking, "hair farming" is one of Mother Nature's secret little-known miracles ("little-known", that is, to those who never venture beyond traditional modern short-haired conservative male haircuts)...
So, I hope you continue to enjoy one of life's little-known everyday "miracles": the joy of watching your mane get longer and looooonger!!

Hi Ken,
Thanks much for the nice reply! Those short-haired guys just don't know the fun they're missing! Not to mention all the money they have to spend to maintain one of those "stylish" haircuts! And reaching these different milestones is great fun! The next milestone I want to reach is for all of my hair to be one length from the front to back. I mean for the layers to be all gone. I believe layers make hair look too thin at the bottom. I will get there eventually! Patience!

Hi Ted,
Actually I've found out that phenomena myself when I shave.Wet hair stays put as opposed to dry, loose hair so that way I avoid cutting my longhairs with the shaver as they would fall into the beard area.Good that you mentioned it as that is a good tip:)Hoping your week is going well my friend.Cheers

Hi Mark,
I thank you kindly for your reply! Yes, the wet hair definitely stays put better. I know mine will stay back even better when it's longer and all one length. One of these days my friend!
Please have a wonderful week my friend!
